Currimundi Park has a BBQ and you can pick up stuff from the Currimundi shops on the way. There's a good coffee shop across from the park and most importantly it has beach AND lake access so if the kids aren't used to the ocean the quiet water of the lake is really good for them.

The GCSE won’t count mark wise but could influence which subjects she can choose because the prerequisites for the senior years are covered in the junior years. I’ve known many people who have come over and faced this issue, and I’m also a trained teacher and have been an education consultant since 2007. HSC = certificate IV and a tertiary presentation certificate at TAFE takes less time and is less stressful so know that if school is in anyway a disappointment, you have a backup for that certification, and universities prefer the tafe students because they’ve already been in an adult education setting, and they are not burnt out from the stressful final years. A certificate II at tafe is technically the same level as an O level, although in practice a Certificate III is better regarded and still less work than the O levels. And certificate IV is recognised for uni entry so you can study the subject you want to take further and be at an advantage. Education here has many more exit points, and no leaderboard in the manner the uk has it.

OMG just caught up with your videos. I've been here over 40 years and love this country. Can't believe you said people watch Aussie TV shows when they want to emigrate here. I did that in the 70s, Certain Women was the show i watched, Neighbours was in the future. Make the move you will never regret it. Love Australia

Thank you for your KZbin channel. I now have a clearer understanding of the law of attraction ( vision board ), and I also learned more about Australia from your educational content. I really appreciate your videos, and I hope that in the future you can create more high-quality videos about daily life in Australia.

Watford Lady - Mas you were right. GCSEs would not be much use here. In many States there used to be an external Year 10 School Certificate - but this has now been downgraded. Years 11 and 12 are the most important as is the HSC - no Year 13 like UK. Given Uni expansion you will get in many degrees with an average ATAR / HSC - but not Medicine, Law, Vet Science etc where you will need to be in top 1 or 2%. So I would be tempted to get daughter in Australian system asap to prepare for Yr 11/12 and HSC. A primary teacher visa probably OK but parents need to make sure kids will be classed as domestic not international students as international student fees are very expensive.

I enjoyed your video very much Maz and I'll definitely be going back through them. People coming from the UK, specifically Anglo-Celtic Brits, need to know about SUNSCREEN, especially for children. I grew up in Australia and over the years I've had what are called 'pre-cancerous lesions' removed five times, neck X 1, face X2, back X 2. The person who asked you about getting a visa for their a grandparent may have a great deal of trouble getting one, if at all :) I worked for Medicare until relatively recently and I've dealt with several people who applied for Parent Visas 15, 20 or even 30 years ago and still don't have them. The cost is enormous, in many tens of thousands of dollars and they are very limited in the numbers granted. I'm sorry if this is insensitive, but to get further up the list in waiting for the visa, someone else has to withdraw their application or die. Australia is a hard place to get to to live. Even Australian Citizens, not just permanent residents, but Citizens, have to provide documentation to prove that after five years of living abroad that they are coming back permanently before they will be issued a replacement Medicare Card. There are a zillion things that people need to know and an officially registered Immigration Agent is imperative. Sorry for rabbiting on for so long.(that's Aussie for being a bit of a windbag) 😊

Please don’t be sorry, everything you’ve written is so useful for our viewers. I also had a pre-cancerous one cut out a few years ago - those skin cancer checks are also incredibly important xx

I'm glad you are back , often wondered what had happened to the bamfamalam.. With the last question I think they will find it's easier to get visas etc between Canada and Aus than it is from any other country and Aus due to some deal between the government's , definately is with working holidays , but am sure I heard it's similar with permanent visas as well
