As a physician and attorney, I've seen far too many marriages like this. When it's culturally acceptable for the husband to be domineering, it usually goes very badly for the woman. I certainly hope he's changed. If not, she deserves better, and should leave.

IT'S SO NICE to see that Christian isn't an asshole husband like the show portrayed him to be. Maria is such a beautiful and composed young woman. I always felt she deserved a husband who respected her. I can tell from this video, the way Christian respectfully turns to Maria to see what she thinks, that he DOES respect his wife, and that makes me like him. I'm glad they did this Q&A!

As a mother of adult sons , I was ALWAYS cheerleading for Christian during the show and knew he deserved and needed time to adjust and grow into his new responsibility and role as a young husband. I watched arranged in England and always loved the show and you two especially. It was so fascinating to learn about a culture we know nothing about here and I loved the huge importance of family supporting the young couple, something that we could definitely learn from over here. I am so thrilled that you have a channel now- please upload more, that would be wonderful. One question I always wondered at the time and I didn’t here the show answered, could you do a video explaining more about how you were arranged, how much time you had spent together before you were married, was it chaperoned or alone etc .? I'm watching season 1 now. You two were so young and adding TV is a whole extra layer of challenge and fear. Yet, Christian, you still talk over Maria every time she tries to answer in this video. You actually raise the volume of your voice to over take hers. Regardless of culture and gender roles, respecting someone means to respect their voice and agency. It takes a lot of trust, strength and respect to, as a woman, put your life into the hands of a man, and vice versa, depending on culture. It's a great honor to give and receive power from another person. In that, men and woman are equal in power and strength. It takes great strength to lead and even greater strength to follow in a manner that doesn't compromise oneself.

I just finished Season 1 of Arranged. Christian was my very least favorite on the show, so I am glad you two put out this video to say you were different people on the show and that being on camera created a lot of stress, and that some parts were scripted for effect. This Q&A shows a much more compatible, friendly, give-and-take relationship and I am very happy about that.
