Dr. Klaper speaks on lab grown meat and if it has the same risks as standard meat. Animal muscle is used to create the lab meat, but is it more humane? Are animals exploited still, without the factory farms and does this cause less pollution? In addition, it's important to consider that it's still a high protein diet and will this lab grown meat still cause issues with cholesterol, saturated fat, artery walls and kidneys.
Question: I’ve read that animals are not harmed in any way in the creation of lab grown meat. However, will this meat still have saturated fat and cholesterol, which could increase the risk of chronic diseases?

And what about the bovine leukemia virus that has been found I nearly all cattle in the United States? Isn’t it possible that will be replicated in culturing meat, as well?

I agree with all you are saying. However, I have two obligate carnivores at home ( otherwise known as cats!) and I am looking forward to affordable lab grown meat!

Thank you Dr Klaper for discussing lab grown meat. I also welcome the idea if it saves animals from the horrific suffering at factory farms and slaughter houses. I don't think eating animal products is healthy in any way, if animal products were healthy for us they would be good for us and not cause the disease and health problems that it does. If people refuse to stop eating animal flesh let them chow down on lab grown meat. Death on a plate is not healthy, many wonderful healthier foods to choose from without causing suffering and death to innocent sentient beings. No excuse for animal abuse !!

If it collapses the cattle industry, it will be a good development.

The whole concept of lab-grown meat sounds like Frankenmeat. Still, given that the livestock industry is responsible for so much environmental damage, it may well be worth exploring this further for meat addicts who refuse to give up meat. Meantime, I'll keep an eye out for Igor.

How exactly do they take a piece of muscle from a steer? Is it a steer that has been killed or is it surgically removed? Is it a one time thing and the lab meat is continually grown from that one piece of muscle or do they need to keep getting new muscle pieces?

I’d rather give people “meats” made from plants, like mushrooms, jackfruit (more whole foods than processed).

Dr Klaper, do you have to eat breakfast as soon as you get up? I usually wait a couple of hours because I'm just not hungry and ready to eat. Is that bad?

He said in other videos that breakfast is not essential. If you eat at 12pm first it's even good because you get the benefits of intermittent fasting.
