I absolutely LOVE the tip to record yourself teaching and then follow your own recorded "class" to assess if you can follow your own cues 👏🏽🙌🏽

Thank you! I googled searched "STOTT Pilates exam prep video" and found this! Very helpful. I certified through Stott mat and reformer almost 20 years ago, I took my Chairs and barrels courses 10 years ago and never took the Cadillac course. The COVID pandemic freed up my time and I was able to take a one-on-one Cadillac course after studios re-opened in NH and Merrithew gave me the thumbs up to test even thought it's been a long time since I took the other courses. I'll be testing out by the end of the summer. Even though I've been teaching for over 20 years I've developed my own teaching style so I've had to go back and re-learn the "manual exercises" and all the other important material. I have been a bit flustered trying to figure out how to prep for the test. This was super helpful! I'm so very grateful!

Great tips and great advice about programming. It's been a year since I took & passed my IR exam and listening to all that we are expected to know, brings back the feeling of being overwhelmed by all of it! Thank you for your KZbin workouts they are so fun, challenging and I learn a lot!

Thank you for this amazing resource. Do you have any videos on the postural analysis portion of the exam. Really don't feel like I managed to get enough notes on this part of the course :( I know this will influence programming, so it's really important to understand.

I just watched this video from 6 years ago. Thank you. My Stott training class begins in a few weeks. Your tips are helpful. I've been spending a lot of time on anatomy because I do not have a background in fitness. I definitely love the flash cards I'm using on anatomy and will make flash cards on the other topics like you recommended.

HI, I'm cramming to my stott pilates exam these days^^Would you tell me about how to explain plumb line? Thank you

A plumb line is usually a string that is hung with a weight attached to the bottom. Gravity's pull on the weight creates a vertical line with the string. It useful for Postural Analysis, because you can measure the bones / joints against the line to help determine the position of the bones and joints. Good luck on your exam. :)

FYI plumb line questions are more than likely on the written exam. I failed those questions big time 🤷🏼‍♂️

Dont pass any exams Just enjoy it and teach safely and introduce pilates to beginners They will find their way
