Huge Melo-D fan. I've been DJing since 83. My brother got hold of a DJ Curse Public Image mixtape, and when I heard Ray scratch I couldn't believe what I was hearing, he was way ahead of his time. That tape was the biggest influence in my DJ... I guess 'career'....we formed Untouchable Attractions in Orange County. That's how I met Icy Ice at one of our parties we threw, he was 16. Did a ton of mobile gigs, then fast forward to October 1994. I was with Theta Delta Beta UCI, we went to a club in downtown Los Angeles. I believe it was called the Mayan. Anyhow, walk in, and I see this dude cutting up Mad Lion 'Take it Easy' on stage...and bruh, my jaw just hit the floor. Dude was just clean, and unbelievably amazing. I found someone I knew and asked who was DJing, and he said 'Thats DJ Melo-D'....I still consider him one of thee best DJs I ever seen...weird though that I still never met the guy. I know Curse, Ice, What, Rhett but I've never met Melo...hope to meet him one day. Fantastic interview! 👍👍👍
