WOW! Keegan,I believe your dad had everyones attention.He had yours and mine too.As best as i remember he said he was drafted.Sounds like your dad had some rough drill sargents as he called teachers.I have seen in an Army book the following quote,"The more you sweat in peace,the less you bleed in War".A lot of truth to that too.Thats 1 of the reasons you and he are able to put on a video at your age of 18.I feel you will,but always respect your dad.I can tell he was a good soldier just listening to Him.He really had your attention thats for sure.A very good and true video.I just may go back and watch this 1 again next week.Thanks.Willard

"They must be dumb." Nooo. Some people didn't have the opportunity to get an education growing up. As your dad said, they dropped out of school to join the military. Even going right to work to provide for their families. Some of the nicest and smartest people I've ever met don't have a high school diploma.

My father also served in the SADF( South African Defence Force). He was in 1987-1988. He was in 1SAI in Bloemfontein. I have a lot of respect of my father, and you should have it for your father too. They served in the 3rd best military in the world at the time. At that time like your father said, we had sanctions on us. So we had to build our vehicles ourselves. The casspir, go read up on that. America bought Casspirs from us for use in Iraq because of how good it is.

@LovelyasmrS3 жыл бұрын
My dad is SA born and he’s dad was Dutch born. Sonhe chose to live in the Netherlands 🇳🇱. My mom’s dad (while alive) worked in South Africa 🇿🇦 as an expat. They both decided on leaving SA and settling in the Netherlands 😁.
