The Kurds inspired the Iraqis to free themselves, without the Kurdish Peshmergas and the US forces, Iraq would have still been in a dictatorship and the Kurds would have faced many genocides by that Iraqi dictator Saddam. Even in the war against isis, the Kurds were the first people in the world to stand up bravely against them. The Kurds are the ones who inspire indeed! We need an independent Kurdistan so the Kurds can finally free themselves from genocides by their neighboring countries.

@ikweetnietook I am afraid you are wrong about the flag. Of course it means a lot!! the old flag with the 3 stars symbolises a relation/support to the Ba'ath party. As you remember, the party that killed many Kurdish. And the new flat without the 3 stars is the accepted new flag of Iraq. So, the columbian university would have done well, to replace the old flag with the new one from the last 5 yrs or so. Why not, anyway.. only little effort, for a serious token of political understanding.
