I think it really sucks that she's seen almost exclusively as a sex symbol. Obviously she's beautiful, but she's also incredibly talented, smart, interesting and very captivating to watch. She has amazing talent and an interesting mind and people tend to overlook that because she's "hot". Which is a real shame in my opinion.

That's unfortunately the case with most attractive people. People subconsciously both admire & envy them at the same time, which is dangerous cause that admiration could quickly turn into evil envy in all sorts of shallow relationships. People tend to think that "life must be perfect being attractive", the truth is that (just like you said) people overlook other qualities in you and you can easily feel lonely & misunderstood.

I actually think she's pretty ordinary, both talent- and looks-wise. I like her because she has great screen presence and seems like a chill, almost tomboyish individual, but she coasts by more on the image she's created for herself than her acting chops, and throwing out tons of big words or current events commentary doesn't necessarily make her extra intelligent. I mean, all educated adults do that on an everyday basis, she's just one of them. (She was also rejected by NYU Tisch, which, while I'm sure many things factor into admission decisions, kind of speaks to her academic capabilities or acting skills or both.) You say it was unfortunate she got known for her glamorous looks, but I'd say it was pretty lucky, considering she would not have made it this far just based on everything else. (I'm not trying to hate on her or your comment, btw--just pointing out that she's actually just a pretty normal person when you think about it.)

Scarlett is a peach. Like when you eat a peach that is so ripe you can push your thumb through the skin. The juice runs down your chin and drips onto your chest, and the place in between your fingers gets so sticky you have trouble separating them. The next day, even after you wash your hands, you can still smell the sweet juice on your skin and, if no one is watching, you lick your fingers and the memory of that sweet fruit on your tongue floods back.
