Ohhh man……. I had this days agoooooooooooo Beat is from the Gagball breaks dirt style record but the beat was taken from EPMD… My favorite from them, and the best beat on the Gagball record…. When I found this set of Qbert and Dstyles scratching to this beat it was absolutely over for me….. This is by far one of my favorite all time scratch sessions to listen to. I couldn't find my copy and was always looking for it so DJ KLUSTOR you the mannnnnnnnn thank you so much for posting this…. We need to chat sometime, if you're selling your copy of this LET ME KNOW….. I could tell you when to listen to this and my favorite parts…. but I suggest any turntablist to listen and take in every second of this practice set.

And as for the beat, even tho it sounds a bit like EPMD's You're A Customer, it's actually the beat from Hugh E MC - H Nig*as Groove. It's on KZbin. It's also where the "Hittin' hard like a hurricane" sample comes from.

I can't find any reference to any samples, so I'm guessing its an original production. Who knows tho, so much sampled stuff never got declared/cleared. It's one of my fave beats tho for sure, I think Gagball is probably my fave Dirt Style.

Yes, is taken straight from H-Nigga Groove. The song opens with the two-bar loop that is the basis for this beat. Q just sampled it, most likely in his Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler workstation. The part that repeats every 8 bars, is just the first two notes of the sequence that were looped. This beat is slightly slowed down from the original.

haha word. See coming from a bass player/musician "AFTER" being a turntablist. I seen it as Epmd made that beat, then when they recorded the beat for the breaks record they added the extra baseline/beat fill on the 8th measure. They you show me the source, good looking on that… I see where Epmd got their idea… In a way the pretty much jacked it, and left out the best part "that 8 measure" and the production is cleaner… But the Original is RAW sounding, It's way ill
