Can't wait to see her in once piece! The first and only time I've seen her, she was a rolling frame with "Jupiter" written in chalk where the nameplates usually go :P

Yeah they're not as common here as what they would be over in the UK. Our preserved mainline steam tour are nothing in comparison to the UK.

Brilliant Shots Stephen!😃.Well Filmed!.Any Idea when she will be pulling RPSI Rail Tours on the Mainline.Will she be replacing No.461 when she is taken out of Service in the coming years.Also how is No.461 getting on in Whitehead do you no.

Thank You very much, the latest I'm hearing is next year they hope to have it out on tours, it is planned to replace 461. 461 was recently tested in on a trial run from Whitehead - Belfast and back, the results we're too promising, the loco began leaking a lot of steam and began to loose power in some sections. The Whitehead crew hope to have 461 back in operation but it's looking likely that 131 will eventually replace it.

Are all Irish steam locomotives allowed to go on the mainline because in England only a few steam locomotives are allowed on the mainline

I think we only have 2 steam engines that run on the mainline, the engine in this video no. 131 and no.85 'Merlin'. There's also No.3BG "Guinness" which is a shunter and 7 other preserved steamers but they're non operational, as well as 6 preserved diesels (all preserved by the Railwat Preservation Society of Ireland)

we also apparently have a number of steamers on static display across the island of ireland but they also aren't operative
