The big question I have is can you put this on a 300 blackout AR if you only run subs through it? Obviously supers would blow it up but I wonder if subsonic 300 blackout is low enough pressure and similar enough the 9mm that it would work.

Most gun companies with a threaded barrel option on their handguns will send a second (lighter) spring. This helps weapons cycle with the lower pressure loads, because of the reduced blowback. I had the same issue out of my M9A3. Switched to a lighter spring and it runs all rounds without a stop pipe, or failure to eject.

Thank you for the video. First time watching your channel. I just got my Q Erector 9. Looking forward to my range time. Just a note about the 147gr ammo you mentioned. I have always used Winchester Ranger 147 gr T series. (RA9T - is the code on the box). This ammo has never let me down. It is a hollow point and therefore more expensive. For training I use Speer Lawman Handgun 147gr. That ammo has never failed me either. I shoot those two brands in all my pistols. For full disclosure I am not a Glock guy but I stand by the suggestions. I hope that might work for you if you decide to try it out. To each his own however and again thank you for the video.

Packaging? Seriously, who really gives a crap about packaging? Do you keep the packaging? I'm not keeping it, and quite honestly, I'd rather have the price of their product drop 50 bucks and send it to me in a paper bag. Something tells me 99% of the people buying one would feel the same. Maybe if they didn't have to worry about packaging, they would have them in stock someplace, and I could buy one of these damn things, LOL.

I care about packaging. I want a company that takes pride in its appearance, and care in shipping/stocking protection.

It's part of the marketing. People will buy a product they are unfamiliar with if it has slick packaging. Think of anything you've bought from the grocery store that you haven't heard of. Apple has slick packaging and people buy that product.

I recently received my tax stamp for my Erector 9 was thinking about rattle canning it black. Any thoughts on how this would work? having a suppressor cerakoted can be tricky because of the ATF forms involved thanks for any replies in advance!
@fishfleshfowlforage79692 жыл бұрын
Cerakoter here. First of it should be common sense but do not rattle can it. Second find a local applicator, and just talk to him about “hanging out” while he does his thing. Suppressors are just sexy, and a coated one will do his portfolio good. He may work with you and let you hang around the shop. Or the other option find an FFL that has cerakote services in shop. May be out of state.

Just because your ears aren't ringing doesn't mean it hearing safe, especially with long continuous strings of fire. Even 135db over time will cause permanent damage. Plus if the 2 baffle configuration seems hearing safe you've definitely already had significant hearing damage.

Is anyone else having problems with their Erect9r? I have a new Erect9r, one of the first in black, and I've sent it back for repairs twice now. The first time was damage (a baffle strike) to the cone and edge of the cone of each baffle. They were responsive, sent it back fairly quickly, and took care of the shipping. The second time is for the endcap blowing apart. This was just after getting it back from the first repair and was only about 100 to 200 rounds run through it. Now they don't have endcaps and it will be about 6 to 8 weeks minimum to get it back. Even worse now is that the whole thing needs to be sent in for repairs. so if it is lost in the mail, or stolen, there will be negative ramifications for future NFA purchases. Also, they don't actually manufacture these, someone else does, and they just assemble them.

Could be your barrel, if you didn’t send it in when doing the warranty work.

@@nickolasthefrog thanks for input. I actually had the pistol manufacturer do an inspection/test of the pistol and everything checked out. Q was awesome in their review/feedback and I now know the booster assembly needs to be torn down and cleaned quite often. I don't actually use this anymore (it's in the night stand w/ only 4 baffles for home defense) and now use my Sig mod X 9MM on a CMMG Dissent Mk G for my private range.

@@thechadmg That does feel like a short maintenance interval. I’m otherwise in favor of suppressing everything but keep finding reasons like this for not getting a pistol silencer.

@@nickolasthefrog Totally agree with you. My Q Erector 22LR is on a Ruger Mk IV lite and I haven't cleaned that suppressor yet after a few thousand rounds.
