The southpaw seems like an overpriced letdown. I think Q is simply just behind the curve at this point and trying to market their way out. They were ahead for a while and now they're not. With all respect, not liking Q much myself, Kevin and his engineers brought 300BLK to market, along with Plan B, that gave the guys at Rearden a whole career (seriously I think they employ like 10+ people just making plan b mounts) but I don't think Q is innovating much anymore and hasn't for a while. Smart to drop Kevin from most of the media stuff, but seems like they're just at a plateau. It's ok to not have the best stuff on the market, just interesting when you knowingly don't and still try to talk smack on competitors.

For Kevin to use that same excuse as a reason for not testing similar competitor products is a bit hypocritical. All that being said I agree with you that it wouldn’t make sense for a competitor to pay to be in some other products advertising. So why are there any other cans in this video that aren’t made by pew? The only reasonable conclusion is that the cans featured were selectively chosen to make the southpaw look like the best thing available. If that is the case then they really should call it science.

Man… i don’t have a dog in this fight, but I think I’d rather have the polo k tbh. The southpaw is barely better sound wise (i couldn’t tell the difference 🤷🏼♂️), and like 3x the price, longer, heavier, and proprietary mount… nah dawg, the Polo is the better value 1000%

I totally understand not wanting to do a "3rd party" pay to play testing (that doesn't have oversight), but damn what a ridiculous move for a company that touts how get it is to not even use a full size competitor can (OCL polonium), or the CAT WB. Its so clearly trying to rig it, you might as well have paid "third party testing" extra to give you a decent review. Yall can delete this video you know....

All attributes of a can are tradeoffs to others to different degrees. An rc2 puts more value on durability and signature reduction than being as quiet as possible, sacrificing weight as well. There is no best can unless someone found a giant leap forward in materials science or something. And even then, its unlikely.

Too many people get caught up on “reddit what’s best” and it’s basically impossible to break with “consensus”. This was hilarious! Loved it! I own both RC’s and was happy to see where the 3 stacked up. I was kinda surprised the old AAC can beat the Southpaw. I thought for sure the Southpaw would be the quietest but it probably has less back pressure than the AAC

@@kevinbrittingham6774 3d printed is only worth more if it performs better. Not all of them do. The CAT WB and the PTR vent 3 perform better in most metrics than traditional baffle cans. It all depends on your priorities. Whatever silencer you choose, smart people use the cherry bomb and plan b system, because almost every other mount is trash
