Im here to tell you, you dont know shit about fuck when it comes to welding. "Looks" on the exterior dont tell you much. I have seen plenty of "pretty" weld's fail for lack of fusion, lack of penetration and too much heat from running high amps that led to stress cracking. You dont get to see that until you xray and cut up samples to view under a microscope.

I have the utmost respect for state of the art engineering and an excessive emphasis on quality and QC. I’m always willing to pay for engineering and quality regardless of price. If I can’t afford it, then it’s incentive to work and save harder. Kevin: do not change a thing. Keep doing what you’re doing and continue taking your time with engineering and quality control. 😂 it took 2 email requests to get Q to tell me I needed a “taper adapter” to mount any suppressor or muzzle device not made by Q on my Fix barrel. (I tried to buy a Porq Chop first, but no one seems to have them in stock.) Q doesn’t sell any taper adapter and made no suggestion about where to get one. Faxon sent me one for my 8.6 BLK barrel *for free* One phone call - a human answered and solved my problem. However, that taper adapter doesn’t fit the .308 Winchester barrel *made to Q specs* by Proof Research. One phone call to them - a human answered - and they told me “we don’t make what you need but Griffins Armament might” so I go to that website. Not sure I’ve found what I need for the Fix, I call - a human answers the phone. “We make one for the Sig MCX family but not Q. However, Bauer Precision does.” So I order 1 for my Sig MCX from Griffin and one from Bauer for my Fix .308 Proof barrel. Anyone see a pattern there?

I like that you test fire your rifles before sending them out. I had to return a pistol to a company because the frame locked up at 17 rounds. I guess they didn't test fire it or only shot 5 rounds out of it. Great rifles.

I ❤ all of my Q guns HoneyBadgerSD MiniFix 308 and now 8.6 Fix was it all a little expensive but I haven’t had one problem with my guns or silencers so that’s value right there. People called my HoneyBadgerSD gay before I bought it then when I got it they’re all like man can I put some rounds through it ? 😂😂😂😂 it’s one of those things once you fire it you understand, I’m just happy they made them I wanted one back in the AAC days so bad. But for me Q just screams QUALITY.

I bought a new weasel. The upper rocks on the lower badly, and there is a massive amount of play. So, I need to modify it to prevent the rock. I have a DD, Palmato, Diamond Back, and a Radical. None have this issue. They are all tight. So i question this video.

I have geissele super duty matched upper and lower receiver with more slop than a 30 year old colt upper and lower. It has all geissele lower parts kits ,buffer tube. I've got a Anderson with less slop. They have 12.5 mk16 rail and the mk4 geissele rails

How are suppressors made? Are the baffles machined from one single piece? Are they stamped with a die and welded together? Is the tube just a tube or is it made on a cnc lathe? Anyone know? Perhaps a company that manufactures silencers could post a video showing the broad strokes of the process... I plan to get into the firearms industry eventually. I'd love to work for a company like Q but I really don't wanna live in NH.

The issue with value is not that Q is expensive, which it is. It's that with expense comes an expectation of good customer service. Not being a customer yet myself, I can't speak definitively on the topic. What I *can* say is that Q's customer service reputation in the community is terrible, and that gives me pause in a way that the price doesn't. Taking the plunge on a Q rifle seems like a giant risk. If I roll snake eyes and end up with a rifle that lightly flicks primer cups instead of stabbing them hard, I need to know that Q will stand behind their product and make it right. Will they? Or will they tell me to go fuck myself because my LGS stocked Brand C of boutique ammo instead of Brand A or B on the day I ran out?

One thing he never mentions is he has enginners because he produces proprietary rifles. If you are producing a known quantity like most AR companies, his argument is completely null and void. BCM doesnt need mechanical egineers onnstaff. If you need them to tool something up you just go pay for services when you need. Keeping a 7 man engieering team on full time staff is a total and complete waste for the companies hes trying to dog.
