Just read my first Sally Hepworth -- The Good Sister. I wouldn't say it's a must-read but I definitely did enjoy it and think the author has a way with her characters. So I'm curious and excited about The Soulmate -- the plot sounds so interesting!

I have Natural Beauty waiting for me over at NetGalley now, and your sharing of the synopses I am even more excited for it (I think I only requested it because I liked the cover, hee hee!) And I am kicking myself for not getting more excited about The Marigold because for some reason I'd overlooked it, but it sounds really intriguing. And woooo...more Riley Sager and Ruth Ware! Both of whom will inevitably disappoint me because they always do, but they're such stupid fun 😂

Lmao. I don’t like to put Ruth Ware in the same category as Riley Sager, but she has a special place in my heart. Also, just the mere fact that Imogen Church narrates all of her books, brings her up a tier level. I don’t particularly love the cover for Natural Beauty. But maybe it will makes sense after I read it. The concept sounds excellent though!

I've read a couple of Sally Hepworths and I don't think she's for me. There's nothing wrong with her books, I just don't care for her writing style. I did see her on the Killer Author Club this week and she's absolutely hilarious and lovely, though, so absolutley would watch her give author talks. I think I need her to right humor novels, not thrillers lol. I've only read The One by John Marrs and hated it so much I'll never read another book by him. I spent the entire book wondering if Marrs had ever even met a woman before, or if he was just basing all his women characters off of ones he'd seen in really bad movies, and I only finished it because it was a book club book lol Definitely putting the Cassandra Khaw on my list, I actually did like Nothing by the Blackened Teeth.
