Youve got "up to back" absolutely nailed man, now a little work on the "up to fronts" ;) Great progress.

I’ll try! But I still need a whole lot of practice on the front tire!

Hey Todd, great to see your progress recorded over the last few years, awesome skills 😎. Quick question..... Approx how many hours a week, on average, have you ridden since you started trials?
@todd_on_bikes2 ай бұрын
It really varies fairly drastically depending on life. Some weeks I’m so busy I don’t get to ride at all. Others I might ride an hour in the back yard each night during the week and a longer ride on the weekend. Assuming that I get some riding in during a week, I probably in a typical range of average 3-8 hours per week.

@@todd_on_bikes That probably explains why my half hour every other w/e doesn't cut it! Just watched your 2020 report and I noticed your rear wheel is locked 99% of the time (this is where I'm at). Watching this video it's the opposite, 99% of the time your rear wheel is rotating, even when "just" turning 180 on the pallets (1:58). Obviously you have a lot more forwards movements in this later vid, but what I'm wondering is, is it the case that you are releasing your break on every adjustment hop (regardless of if it's a pedal kick forwards?). Thanks. PS: awesome vid with some great tricks! What's your next goal?
@todd_on_bikes2 ай бұрын
@@rouxenophobe yes, I unlock the brake on every hop. It took me months to do this. I was too scared of looping out to unlock the brake. But unlocking the brake and getting a little pedal kick helps so much with everything - going forward, spinning, gapping. With practice you’ll get it. 👍🏼 Interestingly, now it’s harder for me not to unlock my brake. 🤣 It sure what’s next. Still really want to learn manuals but it’s going yo be do much work!
@rouxenophobe2 ай бұрын
@@todd_on_bikes Awesome, thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try that! Might help me move forwards, which I'm having so much trouble with. Manuals are what I spend all my time practicing, they are soooo difficult. But worth it when you nail a good one. After many (many!) hours of practicing I'm finally making progress.

Great stuff man! By the way, am I the only ine who got massive tendinitis after starting trials? My lower arms and ellbows are completely wrecked after my first 10 days. 6 weeks off the bike now and not getting much better :(
@PeepMeRide3 ай бұрын
I had it bad in both elbows. They take a long time to completely heal. I think it's from basically squeezing the brake so much and not letting them recover before starting again the next day. The braces help take the strain off and keep it from getting worst but doesn't help the pain if it's already hurting. You have to put the straps around the muscle belly vs where it hurts. Icing really helps too.
@todd_on_bikes3 ай бұрын
@@MrSlapp my forearms definitely hurt a bunch when I started out. Yeah, so much braking. I just powered through it I guess and my body got used to it. 🤪
