It would have been nice if there was audio explaining everything instead of text, just a note for future tutorials. You have great craftsmanship but its difficult to understand when I have to look at the video and read the text. Also show when you're doing the 1/4 inch away sew when sewing the pleats. Its a bit confusing.

Love it! If I might give a tip, when making pleated skirts it's always better to hem the bottom before pleating, so you don't have to re-iron the pleats! :)

this video is a blessing! ive wanted one of these skirts for ages but they are SO hard to find in anything above a size large, and they never fit my body shape right, i have a smaller waist and very wide hips. had i not come across this video i probably wouldve spent WAY too much having one custom made on etsy. i made a few adjustments to this video and it fits me like a glove.

I have so many questions lol but how did you guys put the zipper on ? Did you have to cut a slit on the centre back ? Would it be more effective to sew a zipper onto one of the side seams ?

***** either way works fine :) we had two patterns cut for the back which would be joined with the invisible zipper at the center! But you could definitely place the zipper on the side seam with 1/2" seam allowance given for both front & back on the sides! hope this make sense to you :)!!

I wish I could just buy it, but I can't find the right size for me :( My height is 172 cm, my waist is 62 cm. The skirt length I like the most is 41 or 42 cm, but I can only find skirts with 40 cm (yes, it does make a lot of difference), but the ones I find the waist is 70 cm above, and it upsets me, because I really love this type of skirt, and I don't know any stylist nearby that sews skirts like this

Heads up, if your waist is significantly smaller than your hips or you have a less than flat stomach, this pattern won't work very well for you :(

Abigail Ma it depends on the pattern you've made as well as a bit of guessing when purchasing the fabric :) if you want to make sure how much yards of fabric you'll need, simply bring the patterns with you and lay them on the fabric! hope this helps :) xx
