Thoroughly enjoyed Q32 bus ride with you. Liked the approach to Queensbury bridge and onwards the most. This time you are more level with road. Manhattan midtown is always buzzing with shoppers and commuters. This is a easier way to travel and city watch. No legwork. Most suitable for us in seventies. Thanks

Another beloved childhood memory....the smell of fresh bread.....just before bus approached Queensboro Bridge...you'd pass the Silvercup Bakery (the #7 train also passed it)....today the bakery is the famous Silvercup Movie/TV Studios

I love the Q32, I hate the subway, so I used to take the Steinway bus 101 to QP then change to the 32 to Manhattan, it was always a comfortable ride, not too many people, I always got a seat, once you cross the bridge into Manhattan then that’s a different story! When I was growing up, my landlord drove the Q32, he used to tell me when I’m driving the bus and you get on, don’t say anything, just put a nickel and get in, no one will know you didn’t pay the whole fare, lol!!!

I spent many a day on the Q32......but back then it was the #15 which ran then from 82nd St Jackson Heights to 25th St/5th Ave...used it to travel to school in Manhattan (the former St.John The Evangelist School...56th St/1st Ave...closed in 1969)

I kind of felt sorry for the young woman ,clutching a baby and with another small child steps ahead of her.. They were going down the steps from An Astoria,NYC train exit . The mother also also struggled with carrying a heavy,folded stroller. I wonder what her life was like. This was in your video "Long Island city to Astoria, Queens."
