I have heard exactly the same view/narrative from a grace believer, who is exclusively teaching the Bible prophecies, who I also believe that speaking with the Wisdom from the Holy Spirit. Thank you Pastor David. Well explained.

"70 weeks of Daniel"... The "70 Weeks" is ONE period of providential TIME (not literal "weeks"), the length of which are determined by the EVENTS that are to take place within. These "weeks" have a start and an ending - from point A to point B. When those events have taken place - the "70 weeks" are over! The "confirmation" of the 70th week does NOT REQUIRE a “gap”. Man adds that "gap" to make man-made theology to "fit". into what Daniel said. We do NOT get to "pick&choose" how many other events to add, substract, or suspend to determine the "70 weeks"... that changes the course and truth provided in Daniel 9 about the “70 weeks”! All needed now is to determine what "point A" was/is, and when "point B" was/is. Daniel tells you! Daniel 9:24 - explains this prophesy with physical terms of “time” which man can understand, and this is followed with the details. There are "seventy weeks" in which God will providentially accomplish His great purpose - and these "70 Weeks" are DEFINED by EVENTS yet to come - NOT on LITERAL periods of TIME. The “EVENTS” during the "seventy weeks": Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city... -to finish transgression, -and to make an end of sins, -and to make reconciliation for iniquity, -and to bring in everlasting righteousness, -and to seal up vision and prophecy, -and to anoint the most holy. WHEN do the "weeks" of “events” begin? Point A. Daniel 9:25a - Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem... The “seventy weeks” BEGAN with the re-building of the temple in Jerusalem. Point B. After 69 “weeks” being marked by events, the END of the 70 "weeks" is also marked by the events of the temple's destruction - those things determined by God! Daniel 9:27 - And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.
