I tried FS Enhancer & Ultimate Mod (or both) and finally ended up here, using Q8Pilot's exact method in this video. What a world of difference in performance. I don't have a potato computer but for some reason, FSenhancer with (or without) the Ultimate Mod was a performance hit. Tried this method and not only does it look better, there is no performance loss. I am so happy I didn't spend money on weather enhancement....

@@Q8Pilot I recently changed some stuff and got the FS global weather (you mentioned in a different video) and used UWXP. I still like these cloud packs, however. The only thing I don't like about any weather/cloud system is that I think they're all 2D and rotate as your fly past them. Is that true? If not, where could I obtain (only) 3D clouds? I want the most realism possible and whatever my 1070 can handle. Thanks, sir.

Small tip: If you use JSGME you can change all the files back and forth without overwriting the originals. In case of a patch you can deactivate the mods, let the patch run and it will not overwrite your mods - and then switch them back on.

Cant seem to get the Unique clouds variety pack 1.5 working. No idea at all on where to put the files once downloaded. The video seems to indicate pasting them into X Plane root folder but when I try that I get a conflict as there are other folders named 'Resources' so not wishing to overwrite those I backed out!!

I tried the light.txt file. It kills my FPS. I got steady 30-40 FPS, with any plane/scenerys and so on...Therefor i tried the txt-file, with the same plane (ZIBO-mod), same liverie, same airport(payware ENGM), same time and date, same gate. Tried it 4 times with the custom txt, and the one u link to..and 4 outta 4, im down too 5-10 FPS. Im running the new beta 11.20xxx ...u think that could be an issue? Or is the file made for the custom version of XP?

That shot of the train going down that ramp / hill looks amazing, well done Austin! Just more details for your paying customers to fix for you at no charge! What better model could you ever want - Simply produce a mediocre flight model, throw in a dozen sub standard aircraft that basically just function, tack on a 3rd rate map with extremely limited detail and even more limited range, don't bother with a scale or city names etc. Package it all up and charge 60 dollars for it. Then simply count the money as it comes in and watch all of the dedicated Sim guy's design create and develop top notch add ons that really work so much better, and guess what Austin? They do most of your work for you and it is all free! Amazing eh!

FSEnhancer is the future gives great clouds, atmos, sun, moon, water, lighting and more. I use with FSGRW and the result is awesome.

I tired it in the past, it does not offer much more than my current combination. Performance wise FSEnhancer eats FPS. Will take a look at it if it ever gets released without Reshade.

Which lua script are you using for FSE? I am testing it, but it is not yet entirely clear to me. For the moment, I am greatly delighted with SCA.

You dont need to use reshade with it, i just replaced the cloud and sky bitmaps and used the LUA files included and ive not seen any hit on the FPS. Rehade seems to not only hit the FPS but is unstable as myself and others seem to have had issues with it. Once removed XP worked a lot better.

There are 3 LUA files that come with it. Use those and just replace the bitmaps for clouds and sky. I wouldnt bother with Reshade if your not using it as it seems to hit FPS badly.

Would you say that the first two add ons (unique clouds variety pack and skycolor) can replicate the cloud types (cumulus, cumulonimbus) and sky colors like XEnviro does? Installing unique clouds: When I paste the resources folder into xplane 11 folder, it asks me if I wish replace the already existing resources folder. Do I replace it? The only other option is to cancel.

I use pretty high settings in general, and i like to fly around citys and built up areas. That means it takes a lot of power to render all the buildings. I really want to have all the buildings show up (by using the highest setting), but it just takes too much fps. So i turned it down to medium, and it just doesnt look good at all. Hey guys, I have a question. I was looking to get WT3, but is it worth it for xp10? For me to fly in xp11 I need to upgrade my videocard (gtx 760). I dont really have the money to upgrade card, buy xp11 and upgrade the addons etc. Therefore i am currently stuck with xp10, wich is to bad. I dont really have any pay ware airports and I heard that allot of xp10 airports dont have correct taxiways. I dont have the time to edit all the airports etc. So my question is if WT3 is worth it for a xp10 user with no payware scenery and a gtx 760 card
