Just picked this up. Agree it's a must have for XP. They must have fixed the fps issues in 1.7 as it runs great on my old 4790 + 6600XT. Barely any hit at all.

wish I'd known this existed before sinking hours into modding the MU-2 into something closer to my expectations edit: seems as of 2024 there's a bunch of bugs and the publisher provides no support. will hold off and see if they come back

In the late 80s I flew the B-1900C for a small commuter airline. We didn't even have an auto-pilot, and obviously we used these little radio heads to nav from VOR to VOR. Flew that way for years, all the way to the 727 and 737. But not now! Why aren't you using the FMC in this airplane? Why go VOR to VOR? No airlines do this, we go GPS. Does this box not work? I don't get it.

The box works perfectly. I normally ask the channel subs what navigation to use. It is educational for them.

I have a question about x plane 12.1 beta? Can I reinstall Xplane 12, all my purchased planes are not responding since my update yesterday evening! I think VisualXP Ultimate has a conflict with the update. It seems like the sim hangs during the flight, and it barely responds to the control pulses! Can I reinstall the all new planes the Aerobask-DA62 , the king air 350, and the Beech Twin Bonanza D50B XP12? Before the update everything was fine and it was a pleasure to fly with these planes! It would be nice if there was an undo button if the new update gets you into trouble!

try turning shadows to medium. that plus ambient occlusion is a huge FPS draw, even moreso than render distance. your shadow tweak you posted a little while back caused me to lose 10-15FPS off the normal framerate, and I run a 5800x and an RTX4080...

Hard to deny it seems nice ( as the xp11 version was ), but 30$ for an update, which moreover is not optimized, is a no go for me. I mean...I would have bought the 172NG, which is a bit more expensive than the update, if the update had been free for existing customer, but here, I lost trust in AirfoiLabs currently....

I too bought their x-plane 11 version and if I recall there were issues with that plane that the developer never rectified, "study level" I don't think so. If I trusted Airfoilabs to at least maintain this plane I wouldn't mind a small upgrade charge for this plane, but 30 bucks, NOPE.

How is it not as complex as their C172? It's the only reason I was willing to purchase it. Does anyone suggest I invest in better scenery or the King Air 350?

The King Air is study level for sure. But some features are not present like the visualization of engine simulation. It is as complex as you want to be without a doubt.
