Great list and mine would not be too dissimilar! I agree with the CL650 position. One of, if not the most comprehensive packages you can get in any sim platform and I absolutely love it but its price puts it out of reach of a lot of people. Great work buddy!

The IXEG is/was the greatest IMO Boeing one could buy. The only sour note to it is the developer's infrequent updates and when they do come it takes forever, in some cases years that as a customer is unacceptable. If the track record continues on the IXEG then the Xplane12 version might not be seen for ages. Shame because this is an awesome add-on and one of my favorites. I just can't forgive the support team and they need a big kick in the pants to get a move on.

It was supposed to be out by March 8th, but now it's pushed back then they add that the FMC will still need to be worked on even after this next so-called update. The developer there is horrible and should be given the "How not to treat customers" award. Has been going on for years with IXEG. Don't you find it odd how a developer like Hot-Start with the Challenger 650, hands down probably the most complex of all Xplane aircraft has an update out and working great in a matter of a couple weeks and others cannot? No excuse for this type of behavior.

Very useful video, and thanks for taking the time to put generic labels in your description for the timestamps and hyperlinks so as not to spoil the surprise of your rankings. I had been considering getting the concorde, and I'd heard of people talking about the Challenger, so I will certainly consider those, when budget allows, due to your recommendation. I already have Q4XP. I only wish I had the time and budget to learn all of these aircraft.

I have been using X-plane for more than 20 years and have a lot of experience. Most of the time when there is some problem with X-plane (mostly crashes) it is because some plugins problems and mostly conflict between some plugins. Most of these payware aircrafts have there own plugins that will run when you are using that plane. However some developers like X-Aviation and airfoillabs will install plugin in the main plugin folder when you install there products and that plugins will always run when you you are using X-plane 11 regardless if you are using there product or not. I assume that this is also the case with X-plane 12. So if you are running some other product in X-plane with there own plugins it can conflict with these other plugins that are running with no reasons (maybe collecting data). This is very big NO. I also want to mention that Toliss is the only developer that has this fantastic autosave option when you are using his planes so if the sim will crash you can just start it again and continue with your flight.

This is the very first time I have disagreed with my favorite KZbin Content Creator! All was well, until, #2 and #1. I believe, by far, with all included between the two, that these should be flip-flopped. In my opinion, there is no better, study-level, aircraft than the 650. No argument at all on the placing of the other aircraft here. The #1 and #2 are a very close call for sure, but when considering everything, flight model, modeling, frequent updates, immersion, consistency, price, etc. I still pick the 650 considering everything. It is a shame the TBM from Hot-Start still isn't ready for Xplane 12 as that too is a gem.

It is ok to disagree, but remember the criteria that I have set for this and weight for each criteria. The price point of the challenger will more than likely leave inaccessible to many in the community, and this has brought its overall rating slightly lower than the Dash 8. Again, I follow a very methodical way, but in the end it is my list of top 10. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Pretty good video as always, only thing I'd disagree with is the Q4XP. It just seems like it still needs some polish to be made before I would consider fully XP12 compatible. Things such as the TERIBBLE performance it gets in XP12 compared to using the Q4XP in XP11 and things like the lack of an APU running sound even after a year and a bit of release.

The Toliss A340 is one of my favorite aircraft because it is so much fun to fly. But if it would get the same update treatment with new cockpit textures and other features that the 320 family gets, it would in my opinion be the absolute best addon for X-Plane.

The only reason I got xplane 12 is due to Q4XP as I am an avid MSFS & DCS first and foremost, but I could not pass up on this new Q4XP just an amazing turbo prop and and I used to fly it on P3D as the Majestic Q400 Dash8...thanks for sharing and I have subscribed

Good list Q8, although I would personally have included the Aerobask Phenom 300 in there as well. Whilst I own quite a few of those a/c I do find it faintly amusing that the aircraft I spend most time with is the FREE Zibo 738 which, in my eyes, is absolutely peerless.

Hi there a lot of Airbus aircraft here. I have the FF A320 and I don't much care for Airbus. Perhaps you could do 11-20 or 11-15 to bring some other planes in. Also a factor should be if the plane was available for X-Plane 11 is there a free or reduced price to upgrade it to XP-12. I don't like having to repurchase planes every time XP has an upgrade. Thx.

You totally forgot the ToGa Simulations Mitsubishi MU2 V2. It deserves a top 3 spot. In your own review you encountered how much attention is needed operating this AC save and sound and how well engine performance is simulated. 3D modeling and texturing is equal if not better then the Q4XP.

Great video Seems like X plane is more for deep systems simulation while MSFS is probably suited more for VFR flying, even though MSFS has some study level planes it seems geared more for scenic flying. When I kept hearing people talk about seeing their house and backyard in MSFS I kind of figured Microsoft wanted to focus on eye candy X plane doesn’t have the satellite scenery but the default scenery for England is excellent from what I’ve seen so far I like MSFS but the fabulous Challenger 650 and Colimata Concorde is never coming to MSFS

@@Q8Pilot Actually I was wrong. They have implemented terrain radar at last in the latest version. But the screens look blurry on my system unless I use at least 2 MSAA setting. And this brings my FPS down to 20 on my triple 4k screens. I am using a 4090 FYI and it is still not enough. In fact my question was rhetoric... i.e a polite way to express my relevant opinion just like you express yours in your video. Have a great day!

I enjoy thew Q4XP, it's one of my favourites, but having it in position 1 is almost borderline offensive to a lot of the other developers, especially the 650 you somehow put in position 2 (????). The Q4XP is not at all "study-level"; it has no air conditioning system, no pressure system, and it's drag modelling is only half done (you can fly full speed with your flaps down)...

I wouldn't even waste my money on aircraft in X-Plane 12 everything about X-Plane 12 is outdated. I prefer MSFS aircraft graphically over anything in X-Plane 12. The only aircraft I fly in X-Plane 12 is the Cirrus SR22, Cessna 172, Vision Jet, and the Cessna Citation X.
