What is headless mode? This is our first drone so I'm new to the community. Thanks!

Headless mode means the direction the drone was facing at power on is the head direction still even if the drone is facing another direction. Heading is locked so up on the right stick will always make it fly away from you. Down will always make it come towards you. Left flies left and right flies right. Without this mode active, attention must be paid to the front of the drone for orientation👌🏿

Hello my fellow Flyer! Thanks for checking in! Happy you're still flying! If I ever get my hands on enough money I definitely wanna try to bring better drones to the hobby! I feel like I took for granted the old days when great quads were all over the place in different sizes and variations! I don't understand how all these companies make drones but never seem to put ear to the comments to listen to what people want! Give us a switch to toggle off altitude hold! Give us controls with no self centering on left throttle stick! Give us deeper pitch and faster yaw! I feel like a slave to these companies... GIVE US FREE! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Have any range issues? I have the Sharper Image version and range is not good, and it keeps flying when it loses contact...not good. Also I like the interchangeable batteries on this one. Might be worth picking up for night flying and vacation trips.

No range issues. I think I did a review on the sharper image version and complained about the range issue it has 💯

@@FrequentFlyerRC Just got it in and put it up for a trim / calibration. Only flew it probably a couple of minutes and battery was warm when I took it out, (prior to any lvc warnings, etc. Have you ever noticed the battery being warm upon removal? I would kind of expect that maybe after a full flight outdoors, but seem a bit strange for a couple minutes basically hovering.

@@FrequentFlyerRC I've actually considered transplanting a syma non altitude hold board into one of these...should work and could be run on deviation as well. I believe there might be room inside of this model. Of course the pretty light pattern selection would probably be no more. This is really a good flyer and big enough to see. Should be a hoot at night.

My son has this, we’re all trying to fly it. When the battery’s low it just does as it likes, goes mad. It with stands a lot of crash landings. Any tips on flying? Thanks😂

Absolutely! At start put the drone down with the front facing away from you and try not to move the left throttle to either side. That turns the drone left or right which you don't want to happen yet. If the drone turns orientation changes cause controls to become difficult to understand. As long as the drone doesn't spin or turn then forward from yourself will always be forward for the drone and left will always be left, right will be right and back will be back all controlled with the right stick. 👌🏿

Once you get good at that you can practice flying "nose in". When you put the drone down face it towards you this time.. Makes all the controls opposite!

@@FrequentFlyerRC I bought it a long time ago, just before or around when alt. hold became a thing, so I didn't have that. I could dive bomb into the wind. Flew it last month but the lipo is pretty bad now. Only got 5 minutes out of it.

Great review! I wonder if this is the same as the Hasakee Q9 you can get at Walmart (10 bucks cheaper than Amazon). It looks identical (update - same one) The right top button is the trim - like on a plane - to correct if it drifts like you said :)
