2nd stage of Transporter Mission March 4, 2024, at 23.01. Seen from Qaarsut West Airport Cam.
From spaceweather.com:
SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base. It carried 53 small satellites to a sun-synchronous orbit, a mission known as Transporter-10. When the rocket's discarded 2nd stage passed over the Barents Sea, it performed a de-orbit burn. A bit of spin turned the exhaust into a spectacular spiral.

wow, If I saw that in person and I didnt knew it was a rocket booster! I'd go crazy assuming they're some UFOs 😂

Many thanks for recording and posting this - for posterity perhaps :) in spite of the explanations of ‘rocket booster’ generated anomalies I think this occurrence begs a lot of questions to at least have an ‘official’ explanation from someone in authority, rather than heresay opinions. I also wonder about any in person eyewitness feedback, for example - part way through the video a vehicle can be noticed due to its headlights showing on cam. I’m sure whoever that person was would have questions too. In fact I believe authorities owe it to the public at large to provide an explanation. Thanks again.

Posterity, indeed! I am going to try and get an 'official' explanation. Another 'mission' lol

Why was it making that spiral at first? That made me think it was fake. I had no idea a rocket made that much visual disturbance in ... what? Is it traversing the atmosphere here? I really don't understand what I just saw.

It's called a 'SpaceX Spiral'. It's a cloud of illuminated frozen fuel particles. From Space.com: The 2nd stage began to de-orbit and later burned up in the atmosphere above the Barents Sea in the Arctic. During this maneuver, the spinning rocket dumped its remaining fuel into space, which then froze into tiny crystals that spread out in a spiral shape and reflected sunlight to Earth.

It seems to be the second booster of Starlink G6-41. It seems that the second booster will carry the satellite packet to a predetermined location, then descend and re-enter.🛰️🔥
