@@yukupovaccinated4 Yes the British were horrible in India. That is irrefutable. But the Japanese would have been far, far worse. I'm Indian myself, and I am happy that the Indians and other Commonwealth troops were able to keep the IJA out of India, so that at least we did not have to deal with the horrors that the rest of Asia faced. Japanese war crimes were far worse than whatever the British did. And at least there was *some* good to British rule in India. Bose wanted India to side with Japan and would have ended India with it. Gandhi never picked sides, he was neutral to both, and simply asked the British to leave. Respect him, a man who deserves it.

Moreover, there was clear instruction to the Japanese Army from Hirohito and Tojo that An Inch of Land occupied by either INA or Nippon in the Indian Soil will be handed over to the PGFI.

The Indian nationalists in the Azad Hind army were around before pakistan was founded. Many indian nationalist movements happened in modern day Pakistan, in fact the hindus, sikhs, and muslims banded together to fight the british. To the extent of allying with the Germans and the Japanese in ww2. Indeed, Gandhis peace movement probably wouldn't have been as successfull if it wasn't for this guy.
