Great video, Luke. Beautiful views on takeoff! It's nice the crew was able to pull together some gluten-free snacks for you. Sorry your connecting flight got canceled. That's always painful. I hope you got your reimbursements without too much hassle.

Great video, don't stress about the talking, it was great as it was. Geez, $500 for a hotel, I hope everything's worked out for you mate. ADL - CHC direct would be nice but as previously discussed we need to be happy that we're getting China Southern back after Emirates came back last month. I heard Cathay has not enough flight equipment and is delaying coming back to ADL but I look forward to having them back too. Greetings from a hotel room in NTL, just arrived from ADL via BNE today, (BNE to NTL in a Fokker 100, that bird was 33 years old, was pretty cool.) Cheers!

@@MyAdelaide I appreciate the comment! Yeah with a bit of back and forth it’s all sorted now, so looking forward to getting that video up.. I think it will be good to help others on how to deal with the claims process after a cancellation. Yeah it’s a shame about Cathay… end of 2025 I think? I’ve never flown on a Fokker 100, but one I’d like to tick of the list… sounds good mate, enjoy NTL!

Cheers Luke.I hope you are OK mate.Lovely flight review on that Qantas retro Roo 737.To tell you the truth I thought that you would had chosen ANZ on your way back to Australia instead of Qantas but anyway the retro was a nice touch.See you on the next two leg flight back home.Greetings from Athens

@@flyingdentist Hey Yannis! Hope all is well over in Athens. Yeah I am definitely keen to fly Air NZ over the ditch but on this occasion I had the travel credit with Amex so it saved a tonne of money. I’ve only ever heard good things about Air NZ and after flying with them domestically a few years ago, I am certainly keen to fly them internationally! In this part of the world they are also a keen choice to fly over to the US. Once again, cheers for the comment!

Nice one Luke...The 737 does the job but compared to Air nz narrow body they feel tight and tired. Looking forward to their new aircraft.....but in typical qf style they announce new things and take FOREVER for them to deliver on said 'new things' lol. Interesting the retro roo was named James Strong. I remember his iconic bow ties when he was qf ceo. A bit shite that you had to book your hotel for their cancellation stuff up.....would have expected them to sort it out for you! Safe travels man:)
@LukeCrisp2 ай бұрын
@@Jayrogg Yeah build up the hype first haha! I think the new aircraft will have a similar look and feel of the a220 cabins.. just different seat specs. G.Day Luke is actually a great info vid and I love the retro scheme on any aircraft. . Speaking with my mates in QF it is a bit of a bun fight for all 737 8NG operators, look up 737 pickle fork inspections, Even with the pressures of quick turnarounds I agree QF has to lift its game on cleaning, The Irony is Donata (owned by emirates) are cleaning and catering contractors for last few years. lucky that you were on a shorter leg regarding meals. take care bloke

I flew the QF flight from Christchurch to Sydney on 15 November and had mixed experiences. Ups: I enjoyed the early dinner on board the flight - the chicken with potato, carrot and beans with a mild sauce. Downs: I was disappointed they got rid of the cd library, and radio. They removed some movies and tv shows. Unfortunately they had limited choices on the 737-800.
@LukeCrisp2 ай бұрын
@@syc9675 Generally I just leave the screen on the flight map and might watch one movie… it’s rare I fly the 737s that have IFE so didn’t really consider checking the entertainment etc…. Interesting to note though! Cheers for the comment 👍

hey luke, great video as always, i flew qantas from melb to auckland a few months ago on my way to NY and it was great, the crew where great, the food was great and it was a pretty good flight overall. only fromlem with the 737s is that the legroom, personally, is not great. looking forward to the a321XLRS which hopefully have more legroom!
@LukeCrisp2 ай бұрын
@@Revilok08 Hey Oliver, I appreciate the comment! Yeah from what I can see the a321XLRS will be half an inch wider and because the seat back design is quite slim..possibly there will be a little better leg room. Similar look to the current a220s. Once again, thanks for the comment mate!
