Great review, thanks for posting! I flew DOH-SYD-DOH in A380 F in March 2023 and it was amazing. Outstanding crew, phenomenal wines, and insane comfort/food/bar/bathrooms. I really enjoyed it. I feel that on BKK-DOH it's not long enough to structure the flight (with a good crew) and enjoy everything. DOH-SYD is 15 hours and it's perfect to eat, sleep, eat again, and appreciate the drinks on offer. All that said, I think the Al Safwa lounge is HUGELY overrated. Weird, overbearing service, the food is so-so; no premium champagnes anymore. It just seems like a business class lounge to me and, indeed, Al Mourjan Gardens can be a more enjoyable experience!

Thanks for sharing your experience! Since they market the „domestic“ business class as first class and let those guests in to Al Safwa, you feeling of it being a „Business Lounge“ are correct. We‘ll have a layover in Doha next year, I‘ll be sure to check out the garden lounge.

I have flown Qatar business class several year's ago. In May, I will be flying Qatar first class between Budapest and Australia, and this was a very good primer to see what to expect on my A380 legs. Thanks!

Thank you! It‘s in the US market and usually not accessible for foreign customers. There are ways to get around this, but it‘s a bit complicated and you have to visit the US at least once for it to work.
