I agree with all the points. Maybe it should be mentioned if you book FC by cash you get some extra perks. The people who book it that way know them. 😜 by the way if you like to have a limousine ride you could let the lounge staff know. The driver also give you some special information and even a detour is possible if they have time and are in mood.

Always enjoying your detailed flight reviews! 😀 I have been flying all Swiss aircraft types in First and really like the 777. Last year I had one of the sleeping rooms the whole day!! Arr 6am from JNB and Dep 22:40 to GRU. Just ask, if you spend many hours there, the give you the room! The only little downside there for me as a Vegetarian are the few vegetarian options compared to the huge meat offerings. But the chef always prepared something for me 😇. When they pick you up from the aircraft you can ask for a direct limousine transfer to Terminal E (much faster)!

That sounds like a comfortable layover to me 😁 I can see how the lack of vegetarian options is unfortunate. Luckily they have real chefs in the kitchen :)

Great review ! Swiss FC lounges and overall experience are very good. The only improvement area I witnessed is that when you arrive on a feeder flight, nobody meets you at the plane upon arrival. I had to use the regular (fully stuffed) bus as all other passengers. Also, as I drink no alcohol, I believe I really do not benefit all the “150%” from the First Class experience 😅, as others would say. And I do miss caviar (which LH always so generous with!).

Regarding the drink situation, I can fully understand that you feel like there is nothing special there. As it‘s true. They could absolutely offer some mocktails for instance. And yes, having to use the regular bus definitely dulls the premium experience, I‘d be bummed about that too!

It‘s definitely not flashy, but it‘s a solid, comfortable First Class Seat. Obviously it can’t hold up with the Suites from the likes of Etihad or SQ on the 380.

Everything about Swiss looked unimpressive, the cuisine, the Lounge , the onboard experience... I will stick with Emirates First class .

To each their own. My experience with Emirates First were not as good as this flight. Granted it was only from MXP to JFK so I haven’t experienced the First Class Lounge in Dubai. But the crew was a disappointment unfortunately.

Naja Emirats ist einfach nicht mein Style. Etihad ist absolut besser im Bordprodukt aber von der Crew echt schwankend. Singapur bin ich zu 200% bei dir. Da stimmt alles.

Ich bin Emirates und Qatar in First geflogen und bei beiden Flügen war die Crew nicht annähernd so gut wie bei diesem Swiss Flug. Der Sitz ist nicht alles in meinen Augen.

Too bad you think so. I don‘t see how seat age is a big factor here. All First Class cabins haven‘t been updated in a few years. Emirates Game Changer has been around since 2018. And their 380/777 first class is even older. And In total, I had a worse experience on Emirates first as with Swiss or Lufthansa. I‘m only sharing my personal experience of the flight. Not trying to convince anyone that Airline X is the best. For me personally, this was my best flight experience. You will have had it on a different airline. That‘s absolutely fine.

I disagree, most top tier airlines offer extreme luxury and extremely high prices. Whereas the Swiss First Class focuses on letting you enjoy your flight and not showering you with luxuries. Let's be honest, if you're flying first class, you're most likely already used to top luxury. You want to just sit back, relax and enjoy your flight.
