Qatar Airways from India | Chennai - Doha | Qatar Airways Economy Class | B787-9 | Trip Report

Welcome on board the Qatar Airways Boeing 787-9 in Economy Class from Chennai to Doha, thanks for joining!
I visited the Dubai Airshow 2023 this week and there Qatar Airways was proudly displaying a B787-9 and it reminded me how I had recently filmed an experience on it yet not published it, so I quickly published it now in between video’s.
I like the Business Class on this aircraft and have never had the chance to try the Economy Class before. I managed to book one of the two best seats in the house which allowed me to get in and out anytime I wanted. This was very useful as the B787 seats are known to be narrower vs the competitors..

Qatar Airways 787-9 Economy Class is a product that hasn’t received a whole lot of coverage here on KZbin, so thanks for this review! I’ve never flown on QR, but from what I’ve seen these seats look a lot better than those on the 788. Also, I love the Dreamliner’s weird sounds!

Qatar provides the best connectivity to Chennai from second tier US cities because of their codeshare with American airlines. The only think I dislike is the arrival and departure time in Chennai. Wish they have multiple flights like Emirates.

I fully agree.. That sole flight has such a terrible timing, I was so tired 😴 The other flight is operated by IndiGo.. So a quality drop. Maybe there will be more flights soon!

It's the same thing for Bangalore-Doha route....if iam not wrong, the bilateral agreement is outdated and the Indian aviation ministry doesn't want to give more slots and seats to GCC carriers so they can Bank on Indigo and Air India mega new fleet and multi hub models...so possibly we may see more flights on this route but from Indian carriers

Oh! You were at Dubai Air Show! I was supposed to be there too,but due the family reason I had to cancel it, hopefully in 2025.. Chennai airport looks to me a little bit outdated,hopefully it will get renovated.. 14:18 depends. I have a very sensitive stomach. But as long as it was not cold for a long time or kept in a fridge it is fine. And even if, most of the issues can be handled by our immune system. Otherwise I simple talk with the crew and usually they offer you a warm meal again.

I always get a layover at FRA so I can shower there and feel fresh on the next flight. I did this flight in 2022 and it was so BAD. I would prefer flying on a A380 to FRA and a B777 to SIN 🥲

Meal served cold is just outright unacceptable for an airline that calls itself the best in the world. If you raised it with the crew and they didn't heat it for you or give a replacement.... I woukd be concerned as I am flying with them in 2 months😂
