It's time for my longest ever flight and my first time flying with Qatar Airways, London to Bali in Economy & Business! Here's my full experience including;

I enjoyed this so much, it bought back happy memories. I’ve never flown Qatar but there nothing like turning left. It’s not something we always do but have been lucky enough a few times and it’s wonderful and not taken for granted. That space and privacy, not being squished next to a stranger is so nice, as well as the food and bathroom. I do love an airport lounge too.

Hey Jamie, Hope you enjoyed Bali…a go to destination for Western Australians out of Perth as it’s a cheap overseas getaway from there. My partner and I are flying Qatar (Melbourne-Doha-Berlin) later this year for a quick jaunt through Europe before going transatlantic on QM2 to New York. Flying home to Australia from NYC too with Qatar. Staying in London and Southampton in two hotels you reviewed so that will be fun. Enjoyed this vlog 👍…

Once you've been Business Class on a premium airline like Qatar (top 3 - Qatar, Emirates, Singapore), you'll be miffed being in economy again! What a treat - well worth it for a flight that long though. Look forward to seeing Bali!

Before the opening of HIA, the business class and first class lounge were in a separate building just divided in half. Flying through Doha was my chosen route back to the UK when I worked in Saudi Arabia (once BMED out of Amman stopped). For my final flight home I flew first class from Doha. Instead of a bus taking you to the airport they took you to the plane in a 7 series BMW!

Hi Jamie, love your vlogs, especially cruises! Not sure if you’ll see this or you’re home now but I’m a disabled traveller and noticed on the Qatar plane layout that there were disabled toilets in standard class. If at all possible could you get a little video or photo of what they look like for me to judge if I could manage long haul flight? There’s usually a narrow isle wheelchair on flights but the cubicles are often too tight. It would be fab to know if these are wider cubicles. Thanks and have a great time!

I think full ticket fare varies hugely! It was worth £600 for me, but I wouldn’t have feasibly been able to do much more than that. I flew back in economy / economy with extra leg room so you’ll see that experience later too

Is the upgrade something you got offered just before the holiday? I just looked at Tui to Thailand and they were quoting an extra 5800 sovs for a business class seat on Qatar!
