I literally took Qatar Airways to Nairobi a few weeks ago with my family. We were in economy, but it was great! So much movies and tv shows to pick from on the small tv, and the food was delicious.

I recently flew on the 787-9 business class on the way back from visiting family in India. It was totally unexpected because 1) we got a free upgrade and 2) the flight in(and every other flight I'd been into India) was on a 787-8. So I was very surprised when I entered to see the 787-9. And the experience was fantastic! The only issue was that by some mistake the crew (which like yours was new) had somehow managed to accidentally lock the doors for the entire premium cabin... and they couldn't manage to get it unlocked because they didn't know how they had locked it in the first place. It didn't really matter because my family and like three other people were the only people in the entire cabin, but a bit of an issue with training. In compensation. they offered us all complimentary Wi-Fi and an extra snack or two (or five). I can't blame the seat, but I hope it'll be corrected the next time I fly the 787-9.

You did it again Dan amazing review, I am so glad to see the economy class seats on the B787-9 are different and has no entertainment box in the legroom. for low demand routes this is great aircraft however I will still miss the Qsuite.

Luxembourg transit is free !!! It almost has to be when you are spending at least $300, and likely more like $500/night to sleep. My tip, stay in nearby Trier and visit on the train for a day trip - less than an hour away.

@DoDa Z I've flow multiple times with both emirates and qatar but i gotta give it to qatar airways. I've always had a great experience with them. Emirates on the other hand is so inconsistent with their service but their food is great tho. Plus I can get miles for flying with them ( qatar airways) and their commitment to an alliance really comes in handy. Plus HIA IS much better than Dubai's airport (on so many levels).

@DoDa Z indeed. EK has the biggest fleet of the biggest planes in the world, and they have extensive technical support from the engine manufacturers for maintenance, repair, and overhaul for every single engine in their fleet. You can't say that about QR!

@DoDa Z nah DXB is much more crowd , old and just not a nice place to be. I CAN say that emirates is inconsistent because their service always changes for me ( personal experience) sometimes they're nice and other times they just generally don't want to be there. You can tell,when ppl love their jobs , and on emirates you can tell who and who doesn't want to be there. I would take qatar over emirates any day cause they're the definition of consistent. Even beyond the one world alliance qatar has partners. This is of course MY OWN EXPERIENCE with them. Emirates is just overrated and that's a fact.

I believe there is a mistake on toilet numbers on 787-900, the one i took on 4th of July there was only 1 toilet for the customers!! it was ridiculously crowded. for me. a person who fly exclusively with Qatar Airways, the business class seats which were introduced in 2008 for B777 which is shown in this video are all upgraded already! This is my least favorite seat, the size of the seat when u sleep is very very narrow comparing to 787-8 old business class and even aisles ! my comparing is only with other Qatar Airways since I only fly with them and OneWorld sometimes.

Hey there for me I would reviews to include more on the width of the seats for larger passengers. On this airline 787-9 do the armrests on business class click down all the way into the console of the seat from the aisle? I really look at all of these videos to try and find how the sides and armrests looks becauas I need seats with movable armrests.

Thank you for this video. I have just booked my Adelaide to Manchester flight and was unsure on what seats to book for me and my daughter. Presuming all 787-9 have this configuration I decided to have the 2 middle seats rather than window and aisle seat as I thought I’d be able to chat to my daughter easier this way. I’ve flown QSuite which was amazing but recently flew NYC to AKL in economy. I’ll never fly economy on Qatar again. The hard product was fine although IFE very generic. However food was literally inedible so I didn’t eat for over 20 hours each way. Wine was also undrinkable. I’ve flown economy on Qatar pre-covid and it was fine. I just think they’re cost cutting now

Window seat in business class is the best seat in the aircraft, excellent privacy and can be used at ultra long haul flight The middle seat of business class not bad specially door of privacy and contact with neighbour but I like the older design business class at 787-8 and early A350s (super diamond)

I was booked on a Qsuite, two weeks before the flight the airline changed it to this 787-9. I'm so frustrated because I was supposed to have the middle seat that turn into a bed. They assigned us to a middle seat like this video.

NSD - I love the Qsuite but - at 6’4” - the tray table under the TV feels restrictive. I like to watch TV with my knees raised and the table is poor from that perspective. How was this in their new mini-suites on the 789? Tray table intrusive?
