@@simenolsen4179 if you bought yours in canada im sure youve noticed it could have a little more velocity,and yes it does have a bit more snap to it.if you do the valve mod it shoots even faster but it will only pierce one of the co2 cartridges and youll only have about 40 shots before you have to change.i dunno,they are all pretty easy to do and the extra snap is nice.

@hagmouse you can get 28.6642 foot lbs at 950 fps with a 14.3 grain pellet using only a 12 gm co2 bottle for power in a 22xx series or QB plat form ,,

Great co2 rifles for the money wood stock and all metal' My .22 topped @ 18fpe @70° 20fpe @80° .177 14fpe @70° Both shoot very well for the grade barrel out to fifty yds' I use arrow inserts and empty 22mag cases to make transfer ports' also put a fixed piercing pin on the front of valve to do away with the shoot pin'

the first thing you do while replacing the seals in your qb78 rifle is to install new and improved seals or after market seals or you will need to replace them again in 6 months i know because i bought a new qb78 rifle and with less than a hundred shots and three months the seals blue out and i had to send it off for repairs

Hey steve. I love this gun. However still have an issue here. Instead of this seal upgrade. I almost want to mill a 1/16 inch flat off the breach ,where the seal meets and tig weld a small peice of 1/8 long by 3/16 i.d., steal tubing back so i only need to use a less restrictive standard oring on the main tube. I know this isn't a homeowner fix, but whats better for the longrun? This seal used in the upgrade seems like its got a long distance to hold the gas in for a permenant fix?

Th78d is the same gun just with a thumbhole stock. Thank you for the video, will be alot of help if i decide to buy this airgun, which is looking pretty likely. :) What are you shipping rates like for the uk? I love the look of the multishot mags ;)

Ironcially I can't seem to find any of m tools at the moment. A solid chopstick should work? I have some that are no longer used as chopsticks themselves so I wouldn't mind if they snapped. (If it snaps I know not to use tem next time for something similar. : ) )

The video does not make it seem to hard to replace the seals and o-rings. However, on your site you have it stated as 5 star difficulty. How difficult exactly is it? As the video it seems more over dealing with a lot of small details (as it seems less difficult compared to more in-depth changes). So wanted to know what your recommendations for doing this upgrade is.

Really stupid question here but I'm just wondering does a projectile from say a sniper rifle speed up over a certain distance before slowing down. E.g. if something was shot at 200m would it have more stopping power than shooting something from 1-2m?

@R Hebner ha I remember asking this question 8 years ago. Thanks for the answer Hebner! I can see when I wrote it I asked the question incorrectly when I said "speed up over a certain distance". What I meant to ask was specifically what the acceleration was of a projectile fired from a rifle (obviously changes based on various factors some of which you've mentioned). Little google search in 2020 seems to indicate acceleration applies until it leaves the end of barrel.

whats a tank block kit do for the qb79? if i buy the gun i want to be able to use a 9 oz c02 tank but i can't find any that are 2 inches or smaller ...is changing the breech hard to do because i could buy the bigger breech mayb but that is kind of expensive...if anyone knows were i can buy a 9 oz. paintball tank thats is 2 inches or smaller plaz reply!

Try Ebay and look for air gun parts in England, Canada is still selling muskets along with glass marbles. if you have a valid FAC and taken a firearms course so they know you won't shoot yourself in the head while cleaning the barrel.
