I used the Acv and all that but my dogs would sometimes cry out. I realized that if they had any kind of cut or scratch on them the apple cider vinegar burned/hurt. I tried everything so it seemed. I finally changed the diet to human grade food(no more kibble or can) I quit all the store bought dog treats, over vaccinating and putting all these chemicals in the body and when I did that the skin, hair, ear, obese issues went away. All 3 of my dogs lost 30lbs and they haven't had 1 issue with skin, coat etc in over 6 years. It's pretty amazing.

My dog had a chronic yeast/rash /smell/itching problem and the vet wasn't much help. I fed my 40lb dog 1/2 can sardines daily with a high grain free kibble (salmon & sweet potato) and I got a 80% improvement which greatly improved the quality and health of my dog and her skin and coat were so nice. The problem is internal / gut and exterior treatments can be very "harsh" and very temporary. I also suggest Selsen Blue Dandruff Shampoo (dandruff shampoo). Try the sardines and grain free kibble for a month and see the difference.

This is wonderful advice! Thank you! I've found some skin problem remedies that work 100% too: For hot spots I mix 50/50 triple antibiotic ointment & tea tree oil, apply it 2 or 3 times a day. They hate the taste so it usually stops them from licking the spot without having to put a cone collar on them. It cures it very fast! Great for sores & wounds too. I found a stray Border Collie that had a 6" round bald spot on her back near her tail. Two vets assured me her hair would never grow back. From the horse aisle in Tractor Supply Co. I bought a bottle of Original MTG & applied it to the bald area twice a day. All her hair grew back in fast so no more bald spot! Also she was itching all over & I noticed she smelled like a dinner roll, so I asked the vet if he had a medicine to kill a yeast infestation & he prescribed pills, which worked! Update: I've never had any problems at all with a 50/50 mix of triple antibiotic ointment and tea tree oil applied to dogs' hotspots a couple of times per day. But I see that Pet Poison Helpline recommends diluting the tea tree oil down to 1% to 2%. "Products containing tea tree oil concentrations less than 1-2% are generally considered non-toxic if used according to labeled directions."

Avoiding corn and wheat in their diet helps drastically. They’re all allergic to it. If it doesn’t show up on their skin it will be doing something inside them. Also, the dog needs an “omega 3 fatty acid” daily. A vet on here said there is no dog food that has enough fat in it. We use krill oil from Amazon.
@JudithBrummett2 жыл бұрын
my pitty had itchy skin as well but I gave him fish oil and did NOT! give him a bath anymore. He was an indoor dog and I just used spring water in a spray bottle if he actually got dirty. He didn't smell and was no longer itchy. Vet said it was probably chlorinated water. I even gave him spring water in his water bowl or let him drink from the spring itself when he was outside.

In a double bath, put oil and beeswax until melted, you can add 2 cloves and 2 laurel leaf as they have antiseptic properties, let them soak, then add the tar, mix and melt, put in jar and voilà 😊if you use pine tar you've collected yourself it smells a lot better.

One of my dogs had extremely dry skin and it caused itching. I started giving her fish oil in gel capsules. She loved them and would come running when I would shake the bottle! The omega 3 & omega 6 in the fish oil is fantastic for skin and coat. Her groomer couldn't believe the result and her vet said the omega's were the main ingredient in the special "science diet for skin & coat" which is expensive and my dog didn't like. I gave her 2 caps a day for the first month and after her skin was healthy and no longer dry, I reduced it to one cap every other day which kept it from coming back.

I have a small dog (Brussels Griffon) no matter when I shampoo him, he’s scratching a while after the same day. I have tried many, many things to relieve him, nothing has worked yet. This is going to be my next trial. We’ll see what happens.

Really enjoy seeing the love and care given to your pups. I have also incorporated the diluted povidone iodine and chlorhexidine into my packs bath/skin regimen. However, the veterinary advised me to not get the chlorhexidine into my pups eyes 👀! Keep up the good work and of course the informative videos!

The best thing I've ever found for hot spots is a hand towel soaked in ice water, apply to spot, pull out heat, as soon as it starts to warm, back into ice water , repeat till there's no heat left. Do this every time you think about it and will start to heal very quickly. No meds needed or ointment unless there's a chance there were any blow flies or maggots then screw worm spray and repeat. Heals fast

I’ve been battling scratchy skin and hot spots on one of my dogs for a over year now. I’ve spent hundreds on different ointments, creams, spray, you name it. If petco or petsmart sells it, I’ve bought it. Gonna try this out. Hopefully it helps. Thanks for sharing.

I have the same problem with my dog Gin Gin she is a large hound/lab mix. Her skin is itching her so bad she bleeds. I try all sorts of things. I don't want the neighbors or mail lady to see her she looks so bad, . I will try this.

Take ur dog swimming in saltwater
@_VICK_2 жыл бұрын
@@MikeBurney9282 I actually don’t live far from the beach. I’ve been hesitant to take her because when I take her to a lake or any other fresh water, the problems seem to get worse. I feel bad not taking her because she loves the water but I don’t want her to sacrifice a few hours of fun for a week of discomfort. I will see if the salt water makes a difference and let you guys know.

I have a small Chaweenie she would get raw patches on her back at the same place. We spent hundreds of dollars on creams, vets, and other things. One day I was munching in the blueberries we have growing on the property and she was very insistent on getting a couple so I gave her a handful, the next Day! I noticed the spot looked better so I gave her some every day for a week, by the end of that week she was cleared up. We have not had a problem scenes. I do not claim to know what about the blueberry helped her but it did. FYI

Just made the ACV shampoo and used it on my girl for her skin allergies. She was red and itchy. I bathed her with the ACV shampoo and now her skin is normal pigment and no itching. Thank you brother for all the knowledge that you share with us

Excellent tutorial my friend! So far my two Seventh Generation Gottiline litter mates (Duke & Sadie) at 11 months old are problem free on their mostly grain free organic kibble, short of when Sadie gets peanut butter which we cut out from her Kong due to hotspots. I came up with a little coat conditioning treatment that I like which is I take a hand towel and use it as a washcloth and dip it into about a half gallon of water with a very little bit of mild natural lemon and tea tree hand soap and just rag them down then same thing with just warm water on the hand towel and after I dry them off I wipe them down with a cloth treated in avocado oil and their coats are amazing, they get tons of compliments. (not trying to brag just trying to share) But if I ever run into trouble I'll know what to do and what to look out for, thank you so much for sharing!!
