ive really never seen any youtuber do a video like this, room makeovers are always big budget, lets re-do everything and throw all the old stuff out but i love all my stuff it just like you said looks like a dorm room and i really couldn’t figure out why but this video and what you said about intentions has reinstated my confidence in decorating my space and is making me think much more intentionally about my items and how they’re used

You can also use the radiator as a place to put things. We used to put stone/marble slabs on top of our radiator. You could display more cute knick knacks and/or some candles and make it into a candle fireplace

9 out of 10, room looks really good. the only thing I would do diff is put the little rug closer to my side of the bed (I like to step onto a rug rather than the hardwood floor getting out of bed, just my preference) and put another plant next to Jon's dresser by the hamper (in place of the rug) BUT it's your room and I'm glad you like it =)

Every time you do a video like that I am so surprised with how much of an effect small changes have. Like the mirror and plant changed the whole feeling of that side of the room. I love it. Gives me hope that one day I'll get my dorm room to a place where it's not so ugly

I’d sew the tapestry, a bit stronger than tape and if you ever want it not around a dowel you could just grab a seam ripper and take the stitches out. But I guess you’d only need to do this if the tape gives you trouble

The mirror was totally worth it!!! It made such a difference in the look of that fireplace wall and like you said adds light/space. This is so much better (and cheaper) than just buying new things, I love that you just upgraded things you already had and it made it feel like a whole new space 😄💜

Hey Quack, love the video as always! Little tip: Dont be afraid of getting white sheets. Contrary to popular belief they're actually easier to keep clean than other colors. You could always give it a little bleach bath to get any stains out. I saw this in a home makeover series on netflix though.,

Love love love your new set up! First off, that mirror is gorgeous! Second, the plant. I have cats too so I feel ya. I would be most concerned with the cats running around like crazy and knocking over the cube-stand. Not sure how flimsy yours is, but just something to consider! (For the sake of your plant)
