I recently bought the Posh Pocus pattern. I want to make a practice block using the 3.5 x 5 inch blocks. I don't see how to line up the ruler for those. Or do I just measure and make marks like the pattern says and line up the slot in the ruler on those marks? I keep trying to line up markings on the ruler with the edges of the fabric like in this video. Thanks!

For goodness sake stop teaching people to cut the salvage edges off like that. That's very dangerous.

Agree regarding cutting selvages, very dangerous and don’t understand why she would cut them that way…very awkward also
