What a song 🎶🎶 I am 78, I would have heard this song 1000 times, probably 980 times in the last 10 years, after getting access to you tube. You didn’t mention about the divine romantic pair - Gemini & Savitri adding to the enchantment of the song in beautiful picturisation. I don’t think any other pair, past, then, now and future can bring the joy to the song. Among the top ten songs ever in Tamil cinema. This rendering is good, 90%, given that there is no full orchestra here. Also pulled down a bit by the female voice and rendering. Suseela’s voice in the song was distinctly more boisterous and a good speed too, befitting the mood in the scene. Still, a good attempt. Please keep it up and keep trying to be as close. Can't be Better! A fabulous Recreation! Both Anirudh & Akshaya rocking with such a casual, yet an expressive singing, enjoying themselves their own singing thoroughly. A luxurious romance in Music so beautifully crafted by Viswanathan-Ramamurthi PBS Susheela & Kannadasan came alive once again thru this QFR Team. An Impeccable reproduction of Orchestration that brought alive the song scene before us - visually in our mind. That MSV was a master craftsman in Words Setting (musically) got beautifully reflected once again thru this song - thru a beautiful variance in singing the same phrase quite differently 3 times - "Naanum...Naanum.. Naanum". One more Beauty with such a brilliant variation in the tune that immediately comes to my mind is : POga POga Theriyim, indha Poovin Vaasam puriyum, oru Raagam Nenjinil viLaiyum, siru ThaaLam adhile iNaiyum - Pallavi gets repeated by Susheela as a Concluding line of the 1st CharaNam but in a different tune (juxtaposing the corresponding phrases "Kaala Neram Pirarkkum, num Kaadhal kadhavugaL thirakkum, un kanngaL appOdhu thudikkum, un Kannam EppOdhu Sivakum?" of the 2nd CharaNam.) That's the calibre of Creative Genius MSV - ostensibly making up for the shortfall in the lyrics in the 1st CharaNam Or a deliberate exercise of Novelty? We fondly recall Anirudh Nambiar singing another PBS Song ThuLLi thirindha PeNN ondru from the same film so nicely about a year ago.
