Correction: At 2:51, the speaker should should have said that in the positive control, PBMCs are exposed to mitogen (a TB-unrelated antigen), which is well-known to provoke an excessive interferon-gamma response from the patient's T-cells, hence being a positive control. The speaker mistakingly said that nonspecific T-cells are ADDED to the patient's blood to complete this portion of the test.

If the patient has been recently cured from Pulmonary TB after taking 6-months of medication, is there a chance to get a POSITIVE result? For example, medication was done April 1-October 8, 2024 and the sputum test taken on September returned Negative.

QFT Gold should remain positive for a long time, often for life. Repeat tests after confirmed positive are unlikely to be of much benefit.
