Great review! Was torn between the two, but decided on the AL71 because of the additional keys and don’t really need the knob. This is my first mechanical keyboard and I’ve been so happy with it!

Been looking for a review like this. I ended up getting the al71

AL66 has a knob which makes all the difference to me and the switches in the 66 sounded deeper, at least to me, in the video.

I originally wanted the AL66, but black was sold out at the time. I ended up getting the 71 but I absolutely love it. The only gripes I can come up with are the coating on black one was pretty chalky, and I don't care for the little badge. But, for me, those are very very minor. I'm actually changing the switches to Gats Milky Yellows later today, but honestly, the linear white Outemus that the 71 comes with feel/sound really good.

Did you buy it from the yunzii website ?

How did the gateron milky yellows turn out? Trying to use the AL66 and thinking of which switches to put in there, keep coming across the milky yellows as an option for a creamy sound profile. I have tried the KTT kang whites and KTT strawberries and loved both. Also on my list are KTT wine red/mint/hyacinth, feker matcha, and MMD creams, but leaning towards the milky yellows. Any insight helps :)

I have the AL66, it's very nice! The switches aren't the best but I had some Akko Matcha Greens that I wasn't using and threw those in there and it really does sound great, including the stabilizers. Personally I really like having a knob. Other than that they are basically the same IMO.
@crizzo4507 ай бұрын
I also ended up getting the AL66 and really enjoying it. The knob was essential in my decision but for some reason I can't get it to control the volume on my PC. Did yours work right out of the box for volume control or did you change a setting? I tried looking through Yunzii's key assignment software but didn't see anything for this or maybe I missed it.
@TurboV8boi7 ай бұрын
@@crizzo450 yeah I figured it out haha. Push the knob and hold it for about 5 seconds and it'll control sound after that. Then when you just press it in it'll mute and unmute 🤌

@@TurboV8boi Yoooo thank you so much, guess I didn't hold it down long enough lol. They probably should have mentioned that somewhere haha. Have a great New Years!

@@crizzo450 you're welcome! I don't think it's actually listed anywhere it's very odd haha. Happy new years to you too!

I just got my AL66 and I also happen to have some Akko matcha greens laying around. Is it worth swapping out the switches?

I'm getting the AL71 in Red. I like the color (on the images, hopefully it'll turn out to be tha same shade) and I often use the keys that the AL66 doesn't have. Pee south! :)

so how was it? are you satisfied with the keeb? I am planning to get one tho, can u share your experience?
@AquaPeet3 ай бұрын
@@MelvinTangGames yeah it's very nice! Ano is good though it picks up streaks easily, Hex case screws though very thin m1.6, but inside is very acceptable for this price. Not too, too flimsy like a galaxy80.

got the al66. wish i got the al71. i still miss the f keys but i like the seperate arrow keys on the al71 whereas the al66 keys are a little crammed and cramped

@@Mizi08 i know. suppose i could just get the al75 and give my friend the al66?
@Mizi083 ай бұрын
@@TE_53349 I mean if you have the budget why not. You could introduce your friend to mechanical keyboard and you get yourself a new set of keebs. F keys are a deal breaker for me especially for my work.

Double pressing FN key turns numbers into F1 through F12 keys…I didn’t know that for a long time. But honestly have gotten used to the FN + #key in place of F keys. I have the al71 and love it. Was thinking of getting the 66 as well but might just go for the 75
