Thank you for this informative video. Is it possible to display the points of interest dynamically? Like adding a query on the map where a user can say "show me all potholes that are one meter wide or more"? Or are all points always shown?

Sorry for this youtube archaeology, if your question is still actuall, I think you can do it in QGIS by default: 1) use field calculator/minimal bounding boxes to get the values for each pothole (posthole?) 2) go to layer styling and choose styling based on rules 3) set the rule based on the value you want (being this either area, length or width)
