I've followed Tatchibana videos since the Pasadena parade and made many comments as I'm compelled to praise them. I've seen the practice videos and the ones where they perform outside at their school for their teachers and friends. Their standard is high and they are great Ambassadors for Japan. Its really pleasing now to see these videos where they interact within the school with other pupils, it gives a better understanding as to who they are. They are young adults doing what they love best and you cant get better than that. I continue searching for videos and watching past videos. As an elderly gent its pleasing to see such a young talent dedicated. Long may Tachibana perform and thank you.

Nicely put Dell And you are right on you say about this amazing school band. I am like you a young 74 and appreciate the respect for this kids and what they do. And like the RP18 trip is where I discovered them and have never looked back. But they have opened my eyes to other great bands across Japan. But I am not ashamed to say that they are my favourite. I now also follow the Ovils, made up of mainly ex KT, lead by the lovely lady Yuina san. The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊

Hi dell x , I've been following in Roger Bailey's footprints. I welcome either of two, when you have time to, to search through me channel's Playlist hoping that you will discover an Orange Gemstone there. Yes, English Teachers, I did write tutu.
Approximate story translated. added version Nakamura-sensei: It was a pleasure to meet you all the Orange Band. Thank you very much. Let me introduce you to someone who is with us today. (Turns around and beckons her over...) She is a graduate of our high school. She is a trumpet player who was in a car accident. I wonder if you all know her. She won the first place in Nagasaki prefecture in trumpet at that time. Then she had a traffic accident. (Turning around and looking at her) You are more famous than I am (laughs). She is back in Nagasaki now as a music teacher at a private high school in Sasebo. (Her story spread through TV documentaries, etc.) People from all over Japan (for example, from people who overcame the disease) have sent her words of thanks, saying that she gave them courage. Her name is Kiho Maekawa. Our high school brass band used to have about 80 members until two years ago, but the number of students has been decreasing. Sasebo city is at the western end of the Japanese archipelago, so let's encourage each other and do our best together with those of you who have come from far away. 1:39 Kaneshiro-sensei Thank you very much for the opportunity to interact with you. 1:55 Club president student at Sasebo Tosho High School Brass Band: I know the time for this exchange is short. ・・・・. Well, I'll enjoy it. (laughter) 2:07 Nakamura-sensei: (this may be an exhortation to speak more?) 2:13 Club president student of Tosho: We had a chance to see KT's performance live yesterday. It was very wonderful. We will do our best for the next marching contest, so let's do our best for each other. Thank you very much for your time today. Attention! Thanks! All students of Tosho: "Onegaishimasu.” 2:34 Kaneshiro-sensei: KT students should call Tosho students by part.

Thank you for the translation, Tetsuya. If not for it, I would never have learned about Kiho. You can see the KT band's reaction at about 0:19 as they gasp, recognizing Kiho, and how honored they are to meet her. Kiho should try to meet Kurara from the KT 114th class. Kurara was born without a left leg below her knee. She desperately wanted to be in the KT band to be like all the others. She had to endure surgery to do it, but she overcame her handicap and was with the band for the 2018 Rose Bowl, dancing while playing her flute, like all the others. American audiences cheered when she was introduced to them ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYLOfWqrp5mHjrc ). She even made a return appearance two years later! Kiho is equally inspirational. I would love to see Kiho and Kurara meet and perform a trumpet/flute duet.

What strikes me about the Japanese mentality is respect and humility. All great.

Hi, it is good that the Kyoto Tachibana were able to travel and that introductions were made to Ms. Kiho Maekawa. It was a good thing. I was glad that Ms. Mentapu was present as she seems to be the same age and maybe of the same school term year. This was a good occasion. " Hey! "
Greetings from USA. Thanks for uploading the video. What a great exchange. Overcoming such tragic event takes a lot of courage and perseverance, Kiho Maekawa is super amazing.

Hello Trumpet Kiho, I hope that you will mend soon and become good as new.

@@clutchpedalreturnsprg7710 Look at the date of the accident: 2014. She is 8 years older now and a music teacher in a private school. She will always be "on the mend," but has gotten good enough to be playing again, which in itself is incredible. Any trumpet player will tell you that the teeth and the mouth make or break a trumpet player. Kiho is incredible, right up there with the KT's Kurara from the 114th class.

@@demef758 Hi, without a doubt. Also, i'm thinking that she possibly lost sensations in a part of her upper lip. Which would affect her abilities. I'm glad she did not give up. Why were the K.T. Band in her neighborhood? I'm glad she was introduced to the K.T. Band. Her music teacher is such a good man. He and her parents rose to to the situation. I'm happy for them all. TrumpetKiho is so strong and so tall.
