Sara and Jimmy need their own show together. They are such opposites but are both so clever and witty in a similar way. It would be amazing to see them on a Travel Man style adventure trying to survive each other.

During the 'orphaned negatives' part, I found myself wondering if 'whelm' might be an orphaned root? Both 'overwhelmed' and 'underwhelmed' are used commonly, but was 'whelmed' ever used? I've tried it out, and found it's a useful way to say 'I experienced it, but it didn't cause a deviation from the baseline state. I might say in response to something: "Well, that was whelming." It's a peculiar thing to say, but people immediately get it from context.

@@skilletborne Well-trodden as it might be as a joke that elicits a subtle body-language acknowledgement of comedic intent, and nothing further, my query was not in reference to the kinds of quips of which type I must admit to having engaged, but simply as to whether there might have been a historical usage which pre-dated the prefix-only variants in contemporary non-clever usage. I don't really care. I could search it if I did. But I'm looking forward to making AI voices read that sentence.

It's a root vegetable. Carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, lilies, daffodils, tulips etc. can all survive being uprooted, having their stems and roots removed and being stored for a long time. They're designed to lay dormant over winter, similarly to hibernation. When we harvest them, they essentially just go to sleep.

Would u not just ditch near the sun n let it fall in? Who cares how long that might take. Its better than sending toxic waste into space I don't condone that
@steve47011 ай бұрын
Because it will still be moving as fast as whatever just ditched it, and it the same direction - there's no air resistance to slow it down. It would just go into orbit around the Sun, possibly colliding with something (maybe even Earth) at some point in the future.
@whispersmith7 ай бұрын
@@steve470pretty sure the orbit would degrade and it'd fall into the sun
@kurimgiga53115 ай бұрын
@@whispersmith There's no "drag" in space. If orbits degraded, there wouldn't be any planets. Anything you launch from Earth will stay near Earths orbit (around Sun) on average. (yes, supermassive black holes orbiting each other have degreading orbit, but that is because they send gravity waves on a scale that actually costs them "orbiting energy")
