QI is just stealing back all their videos without checking titles from the goons taking them. It's quite interesting if you stop and think about it.

@@TREVONBACH QI has the masters, or the BBC does, which has had to have signed off on posting these. Whoever posted this just didn't check the names. The QI (or the BBC) is years behind on making money from the ad revenue, if you add up all the views from those channels, it's quite a lot of views. Same with most British panel shows. Many people outside of the UK like them.

Despite the obvious hilarity, it might be good to change Olga's last name to Koch, which it actually is.

Re: the reference to a medium tank, and do they "come in small and large as well": They came in light, medium, and heavy. Light tanks were quick scouting vehicles, intended to protect the occupants from rifle and machine gun fire while gathering information. If you saw another tank (and you weren't an idiot), you would immediate "leg it", as they say. Medium tanks were intended to support infantry advances, clear trenches, etc. Heavy tanks were intended to destroy other tanks and armored emplacements. Medium tanks were by far the most common, since they were very general-purpose in their applications.

I think she's rather attractive - but unfortunately unattainable, it would seem - for blokes, at all events.

This is at least the sixth and possibly the tenth time that I have seen this episode and I only now have noticed that Olga's shirt seems to be patterned like the wallpaper in Andy's room in Toy Story. Usually it's not the fabric of her shirt that draws my attention when I look at her. 10:55

Cliff didn't run in Wellington's and overalls. He may have turned up in that gear, but he ran in sweats and sneakers. His ''technique'' was simply that he didn't stop, he jogged slowly enough not to need the same rest breaks the other runners needed, and overall outpaced them. He ate while he jogged, he had a teammate who was his support crew and timer. Cliff spent a lifetime chasing sheep around his farm and sometimes this lasted as long as three straight days. Cliff trained by running about 12 miles every day in every kind of weather and he was a lifelong vegetarian.

Seems like he did have a technique (that they also reference here), named the "Young Shuffle" after him. It's a very efficient way of running. I mean I guess you can say he just jogged slowly, but that's a technique.

@@Matt-lc8qt My quotes around ''technique'' are not meant to say that Cliffy didn't have one. ''Jogging slowly'' in context IS a technique, it's one I use myself.

Speaking of anime, the topic has switched to running and some time in the few years before the pandemic someone got an article in the media claiming that running with both arms thrown behind you, parallel to the ground and slightly outside so that they form a "V" shape from above is faster than swinging your arms. The article specifically describes it as running like anime characters. Not all anime characters run like that, but many do, especially in the super powers battle types like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh.

The title of that book reminds me of the titles of many recent Japanese light novels/manga that have been adapted to anime in the past few years. It's longer than any of them, as far as I know, but the bizarre length of some of these has been a topic of discussion here in the West.

Quite Interesting how in Tudor England a Hedge Priest was considerd a conman, or at least someone who performed religeous ceremonies for money, while in the Netherlands a Haagepreek (Hedge Sermon) was an illegal sermon held in an open field by a Lutheran or Protestant preacher. These were of course scandalized and mocked by the Catholics and the Spanish authorities, whom controlled the region, and the negative connotation only wore off in the later 17th century after the Dutch Revolution had established a relative form of religeous freedom. Im not a 100% certain the terms are related, but given the similar religeous turmoil in England, and the fact the English and Dutch were adopting jargon and slang from eachother, through sailors and religeous refugees, we can assume at least some etymological history there ....
