Am I missing something, what Qinglan Du is arguing Israel should do is exactly what Israel did do in the offers put on the table between the years 1994-2001 the Palestinians rejected these proposals, offered none of their own and responded with violence and terrorism as the Palestinians have done every time they are offered an independent state on the basis of land for peace.

If I understood the central claim correctly: that peace would be achieved by Israel pulling out of the WB entirely, this is exactly what Israel did with Gaza in 2005... Oct 7th was the result, though even before that, I gather that the Gazans started firing rockets into Israel almost immediately. Jerusalem is the holiest place on Earth, mentioned about 600 times in the Hebrew bible. It is not mentioned once in the Quran and is the third holiest place for Muslims (likely due to it being important to Jews/Christians). I hope there are questions and a vote/outcome in this debate, doesn't look like it from the videos uploaded :s.

She describes a state of relative peace in Jerusalem. Jerusalem does not suffer from as much rocket fire as other cities in Israel. This is because it has the best air defence in Israel. The Dome of the Rock is a better repellant for terrorist rocket fire than the Iron Dome, because the terrorists know how inaccurate their shooting is, and they don't want to it Al Aqsa.

Dear Qinglan Du. And after Exchange land for peace then what ? Arabs will change their tradition of hatred ofthe jews and Israel ? Do you believe it? No, only terrorists will have better strategic position and will terrorize Israel. New wars, new land exchange, until Israel disapear of the map ? You have developed a nice strategy, but you will not prevail. Ask Vietnamees living in Israel and saved by Israel, how to solve this situation. Once I met one Vietnam-Israeli and remember his view.

Qunglang Du is a rapacious debater living with an understanding by having grown up in Israel and learning with experience the story of allowing all sides to be expressed in her voice of complicated issues. Hear!!Hear!!!! The only way for peace is to play fair. Can it be done. History has exposed the lies. It will be a challenge for our youth to have opened minded thinking infused with character of seeing between wrong and right without futher damaging what our forefather's choice of greed and power lit the fires.

Israel is a democratic state with one single set of laws for all it's citizens. There are many apartheid states in the region where a certain group of people (Jews) are denied rights under law. Israel is not one of them.
