I'm Norwegian and when I went to Denmark as a student, I was constantly told how much they thought the Swedes were drunks while we were the nice guys. :D

I wish these unbroadcastable BTS bits were apart of the QI XL broadcasts. These were have absolutely hilarious this series 😂I think Sara might be talking about a double taping of QI in which Bill Bailey and Vic Reeves appeared separately on two different episodes in Series E. As I recall I don’t think they’ve ever appeared in an episode together, unless it was a live stage show somewhere.

Yup the QI researchers - otherwise known as the QI Elves - are in the QI Master or Mistress's ear. Also, the director and producer. It's standard practice. One of my favourite interruptions is in Mock the Week. A one-liner set off a horrendous amount of penis jokes to the point where Dara O'Briain got in his ear "we've got to get this Penis thing under control. Please."

It’s because of Danish that my wife and I (I was born in the US; She was born in Sweden) came up with idea that people in the south talk funny. Doesn’t matter which language - English/Cornish, Norse/Danish, German/Bavaria, Mandarin/Cantonese, Hindi/Tamil, American North/American South, Bantu/Swahili/Xhosa…. Take your pick, southerners just sound funny. And Danish vowels sound like mush, compared to the other Scandihoovian countries.

They record two episodes at a time so they weren't necessarily in the same episode, just both present when Sara was in the audience.

Btw. Her danish isn't great, she has good reason to be bad, she doesn't speak it regularly and one loses language abilities when you don't practice. She said "Hey it's Sandi Toksvig her på BBC Nordic or BBC Nordic Plus". And the guy answered "I can speak a little danish".
