When I put on this video I wasn't expecting to really learn anything new. I loved Qix as a kid (I had the gameboy version) and just wanted something pleasant and nostalgic to listen to while I ate. However, I have to say when you mentioned "Jezzball" and I saw the clips on screen, that hit me hard. I had completely forgotten about Jezzball for such a long time but when you mentioned it I suddenly remember loving it. Now I have to go look it up. Thank you for that!

When I hear Qix out loud it makes me think of the glam band from the 80s Kix. They had one single that played on MTV so it makes me laugh. Don't tell anyone, but I think I had that single on cassette.

I'd always wanted the Game Boy version, but it never made it into my collection. That port was Nintendo published.

The Sega Genesis version was AMAZING. It basically just had that good ol' Genesis sound and had revamped designs for the Qix monsters. Gameplay is basically identical, but there were some difficulty options as well.

I consider myself a pretty dedicated NES fan but I had no idea that there was a NES version of Qix (love the Game Boy version though). There's always more to learn I guess.

I always knew about this game but thought it was called something else, so i missed it when it was cheap 😂 Spent hours on jezzball (less than simcity, but more than solitare/freecell, basically all the pc games I've ever put time into), on my grandmas computer! Thanks for bringing up those good memories

I love Jezzball. We would play it in 6th grade after chess club. That would have been '99.

I played the original arcade, in the arcades, some time in the early to mid 80s, I don't remember the exact period as it wasn't my favorite game. Few years after that, I played various clones or perhaps even the same but ported, on the Atari ST, PC of the late 80s early 90s. Still nothing for me other than a solid game. Eventually, though funnily enough I don't remember when, I found a couple of versions with eh adult theme. When you progressed in the game, various relevant photos would slowly appear. That I remember enjoying it more. Strictly for the advanced gameplay I am sure. Great video man, as always.

Spent many hours playing Jezzball which seems to have taken inspiration from Qix. One of many simple yet addictive puzzle games from the 80's.

I love Qix, I’m a sucker for any way I can play it but I surprisingly never played the NES port. I really love the spiritual successor games like JeezBall, which was an obsession of mine in the mid 90’s

I actually snagged the Game Boy version of this at a thrift store a while ago, it ended up being a lot more fun than I expected. I'd actually love to try out some of the later versions that came out, I think there were at least two versions on PSone. Apparently it has an Arcade Archives release on Switch and PS4, too!
