what other scales or modes could i use that would work under this type of backing track?
@QJamTracks5 жыл бұрын
You could use a pentatonic scale. This is a very specific backing track and leaves not much space for other scales....

Thank you very much for uploading :) I have a question. It sounds good if I switch momentarily from natural phrygian scale to phrygian dominant? The difference is about one note that would fill the 1 tone gap

aren’t the notes in E Phrygian the same as C Major? E F G A B C D ?
@era1442 Жыл бұрын
In case of phrygian dominant, the 3rd is a major 3rd, meaning the scale in this is E F G# A B C D. "normal" phrygian that's one of the major scale modes, is a minor scale and has a b3(minor 3rd) This scale is based on the harmonic minor (A minor with a maj7 = G# instead of G) phrygian dominant being the 5th mode of Harmonic minor scale.

The history of the Phrygian people has been mutilated and insulted for over 2,000 years. Phrygia was the FIRST "America." Interesting how their music has survived. Ancient Greece is NOTHING but a perverted remake of a mutilated Phrygia, and virtually every society has copied Phrygian workmanship; from carpentry, stone works, gold refining, organized farming, and far more, the Phrygians employed music as a mind expansive custom. Imagine an army of people led by musicians entering an area of savages............the Phrygians were perceived as being half divine. They were the people who accidentally discover "magic mushrooms" when humans were hunter/gatherers. Zeus screwed everything up when he insisted that the mushrooms NOT be used by common people. A rival of Zeus (a first cousin, not the source of the rivalry) Tantalus, was framed by Zeus and accused of betraying the very social system he Tantalus organized. Zeus was the problem, but Zeus is given great amounts of credit he never deserved. Zeus was jealous of Tantalus, and accused him WRONGFULLY sharing the mushrooms with "commoners" (and of killing his own son, which was a LIE). Tantalus argued that "these mushrooms are for EVERYONE, not just a clan of Zeus followers." The Zeus followers were perverts, liars, and murderers; politicians. Pelops, the alleged murdered son of Tantalus, is responsible for vast of amounts of social orgainization and progress, which he learned from Tantalus. the history of Phrygia has been mutilated and replaced with a huge amount of falsification.
