It was a fun night! had been years since i last went, but the dome(gelredome, the venue that Qlimax had been taken place for the past 20 years 2003-2024) will always have a special place in my heart! This event is probably one of the most prestige events for any dj/producer of the harder styles of dance music to play on. Cheers!

Qlimax has existed for longer than Defqon, and it takes place last weekend in november, as such it’s indoor in GelreDome which is a huge football arena (amongst other things). For me, this and not DefQon.1 is home.

yes qlimax and defqon is made by same company (q-dance) which is under ID&T who's organising tomorrowland.

I haven’t followed how they are related to each other but I know Qdance isn’t under Id&T anymore, if they were why is Tomorrowland till last year so difficult in giving Qdance a spot on the stage? As a company it would be smart to promote every branch that does well at the largest edm event on earth

@@nickreinders6347 qdance are stull under ID&T just ID&T don't have a huge role in what they can and can't do. Q-dance has been apart of every Tomorrowland. Tomorrowlannd was originally going to be called Mystryland Belgium but the owners of Mystryland didn't want them hurting their brand (as you can see that was a bad choice) However This year, q-dance have pulled out of so many festivals including Tomorrowland. no one has a real answer for this.

Some proper Hardstyle! Qlimax is not the same as Defqon 1. Defqon 1 is a happy summer party - Qlimax is darker. No silliness, which I prefer. Imo, Qlimax is way cooler than Defqon 1, and this edition was the best one I’ve ever attended. Almost everything was amazing. Loudest bass I’ve ever heard at any event.

I think you shouldnt really compare them, Defqon is a 4 day festival, while Qlimax is a 1 night experience

Well the main difference is that theme of Qlimax is always darker than defqon.1. The event itself is held indoors to give something to people in colder months (late november each year)
