Not for me yet but here to feed the algorithm, good stuff 👍

Great little electronics project, but more work than a lot of people will want to do. Check out the Tbrc dji osd board. It's gives you a basic osd for dji with bat voltage and timer, and is plug and play
@FPVDiverBomber Жыл бұрын
wow that is kind cool, glad I read the comments, so it just plug in beteween the bat and plane ? then you plug the air unit into it? does it come with that 4 wire plug to the air unit??
@FPVDiverBomber Жыл бұрын
I see it comes with the plug,,,ez peezey! I like it

I followed your method of using blue tack to help solder, worked perfectly 👍 Cheers for that, loving this OSD on my FPV car.

Nice, I had to use a flight controller in the pass for doing this, this is fantastic.

Fantastic, I have been looking for something just like this for a while now for a RC car project and here it it. What incredible great timing! And thanks for all other great vids as well! 🙂

Oh this reminds me of a project I started for my RC car - An adapter for Smart Port sensors (FrSky Current sensor) and CRSF (TBS Crossfire Telemetry) to the DJI OSD. I had a POC but I need to get that finished and in use!

Fantastic product. It will be great if they put all together include GPS and sell as PNP

This is nice but kind of bulky. A nice feature would be a pwm or sbus input (from your RX) to the arduino that could also serve as an arming switch for air unit power up. A couple years ago I did something similar to this with a tiny betaflight board - seems a bit easier than this project actually. The only trick is you have to modify the firmware to trick it into arming with only one visible channel from the RX (if you want autotemp on dji). I still think this project is cool but think using a generic betaflight FC would be easier. Note that this was a plane and no servos or esc's were connected to the flight controller.

Excellent concept and what the hobby needs and yes if it could be made smaller with adjustable screen icons.

Hi, anyone out there help a noob out , just got my crossfire v2 looking to put the antenna on the wing sma cable I presume needs to be longer how would I make that longer ? Does eBay or tbs sell those just not sure what I’m actually googling, many thanks 🙏
@Painless3602 жыл бұрын
Adding more length to the antenna isn't a great idea. Any connectors cause additional losses. I'd look to how to mount the receiver as close to the antenna as you can. I've never needed a longer antenna cable, see my TBS Crossfire builds.. Happy flying!

Nice, is there any way this would allow having the OSD info show via the goggle's video out? (I know it's very unlikely to be the case but asking anyway as I guess the only way to allow that would be by tapping into the MIPI interface and mixing the video of the camera with custom OSD to be fed to the ait unit).
@Painless3602 жыл бұрын
This pushes telemetry into the air unit for the traditional Custom OSD we've been using for years...Happy flying

@charlesjones50702 жыл бұрын
@@tubamanandy2 most of the components are available off the shelf in hobby stores. Only the main pcb isn't. You could solder the components with flying leads to the wimos board or design your own pcb.

@@charlesjones5070 exactly -- you don't have to use the PCB main board but it sure makes it simpler and cleaner to install.

I can't get the GPS portion working with a BN-220 using the QLiteOSD.GPS_IMP_1.1.bin file. Is there a reason why this GPS unit wouldn't work?

I asked the designer and he said that any u-blox supported gps running 9600 and 3.3V should work. Best of luck

The killer app for this would be the ability to use the logs to stabilize the air unit video with Gyroflow.
