The main reference here is my own book: iopscience.iop.org/book/mono/978-0-7503-2600-1. See also Griffiths and also Sakurai but also Nielsen and Chuang. These are the main pedagogical books preferred from my perspective. For historical accounts, see the original two books Dirac and von Neumann. For other older accounts see Bohm and Landau.
