QNSL Delivery!!!

CN422 pulls through Scotch Block in Halton Hills, Ontario on December 21, 2021 with the first 6 of 10 QNSL locomotives. Looking polished and ready for service. They would go as far as MacMillan Yard on this day in Vaughan. Along with CN 2289, CN 2628, CN 8022 we have QNSL 437, QNSL 434, QNSL435, QNSL 430, QNSL 432 and QNSL 433. I hope you enjoy.

One absolutely wonderful paint scheme on the QNSL locos! Had a good laugh at 6:04 After a mixed bag of boxcars, tank cars, and covered hoppers, one lonely auto rack shows up. Does the dealership need to fill the car, or can an LCL shipment be made?

Fascinating 🤔 Around where I live (Southern Pacific) trains this large are rare but when you do see them these trains have engines in the front, middle, and at the rear of the train. I'm thinking that has do with the mountain terrain. I'm from Butte County California, about 4 hours north of San Francisco. Gold country 😉

Southern Pacific Merged into Union Pacific in the 1990s (I think 1996), so you most likely Live by UP. However there Are still some "Patched" SP Units on UP today. The Engines in the middle and end are called Distributed Power Units, "DPU" for short. They Do help Said train get up mountainous grades, like you said. Hope I explained that clearly : )

Thats what you have when working with lazy, ignorant, incompetent employees when working on and about the equipment. The carrier I was employed for 40 years required the handbrake to be “unwound” fully before movement …..

Damn.... It took 9 of the weakest engines on the market, those orange/black and orange/gray engines to pull those cars. That company could have saved a ton of money and would have only needed 2 of the most powerful engines, the yellow and blue engines to pull that same amount of cars......
