that 5th game draft was insane tho. . . leaving both tiny and magnus off the ban list was contrary to what xiao8 initially expected from Spirit. LGD took the bait and took Tiny.

Honestly tiny was a good pick for lgd, what I don’t get is why pick ench against spirit’s draft. It was the most useless hero during the game. Like I get it can dispel ember flame guard and other stuff but she becomes so irrelevant in spirit’s draft. If they picked something that can counter tb and ember as well provide a strong laning phase for tiny, lgd would have had better chances to win.I think the best hero to replace this ench is treant it’s good synergy for their sm and they can easily snowball better than ench, declining tb’s exponential farming rate. It provides a rosh fighting hero and everyone just gets fcked by treant ulti. It’s insane how they didn’t pick treant and picked ench instead as their 5. It’s a free win cus they all have strong lanes and spirits draft needs time in order to play.

xiao8 also got flamed because in game 5 with such unique bans he did the ban phase so fast they had most of their reserve time left by the end of the whole draft. They really should have used most of their time discussing tiny vs mag first pick. Even still though, LGD had a 4k gold lead at the start of the mid game and dove a tier 2 in a bad fight to throw their lead and was on the backstep the whole way after that.

Even though I didn't like this true sight as much as 7 and 8 (better than 9 tho) I would praise that they didn't force the positive for one team and the negative for the other. They were pretty unbias and showed both teams being pretty chill. Hope they keep the trend, because it was kind of cringe when they showed Virtuous Pro like assholes in the first one, and Newbee and LGD like stressed douches in 7 and 8.

xiao8 is the best coach in China and a TI winner, also it's a cultural thing, ppl of collective societies wants to have someone incharge of things, he is payed to make decisions and lead the players. Having a chinese background myself i almost feel like xiao8 listened too much from introvert players like nts and ame who didn't even think about how their hero might playout in the game, resulting very hasty picks that diverged from the original plan.
